J & K Salvage, York PA

Called triple AAA and they sent this tow, who towed it to the wrong address (the body shop was one block away) and they parked my car immediately in front of a “no stopping sign”. I called back and asked if they could please move it to a safe parking spot where it wouldn’t get further towed/tickets and the gentleman was extremely rude & impatient.

Very rude and unprofessional.called for a quote and got nothing but attitude and rudeness. Nice to know what junk yard I WONT be supporting again!

Sold 2 cars to them and there was "no money" avaliable in their machine. Had 3 visits and mutiple calls into them before they finally wrote me a check. I have been using Prospect Metals lately and recommend them. I would watch my cars rust before ever selling to J&K again.

I would recommend this business to anyone for their recycling scrap metal needs. It is a salvage yard so you can expect it to be dirty just like any other salvage yard however the people are friendly and a pleasure to work with. They are very fair and honest with their customer's.

Owner stood on rail trail and confronted random people for stealing his stuff. Horrible experience. Cannot recommend more going somewhere else

The people are very friendly and knowledgeable. Always treat you right, and are very knowledgeable!

It's always quick to sell my scrap metals here, Drive in & Drive out with cash, You can also take shingles and junk wood here and it's a lot cheaper than the landfill. J&K just makes sense, and they've never done wrong by me.

Do not use these guys. They say the pay the best but don’t pay at all. The worst and I been in the business for 20 years. Please use a truth worthy company not these guys.

Its now past 2 months and I still have not received money for my car they could conveniently tow and take my title for. I've called about 5 times and it's always, I'll get back to you.it's being mailed today.words! How these people operate a business is beyond me. I should be read the reviews before calling them. Hopefully someone doesn't make my same mistake. I'll edit the review for my money.

I had a flat tire earlier today. A very kind tow truck driver stopped and put my spare on for me. He wouldn't accept any money. He said that he has a wife and kids, and can only hope that somebody would do the same for them. Thank you, God, for sending me this angel of Mercy! And kuddos to J&K for their choice of employees! If I need salvage services, I'll call J&K first!

Scrapped a car with them same IOU. BS been weeks of excuses as to why they dont have the money.

Scrapped car, instead of cash I was given an IOU. Promised in 3 days. Well over a month and no check yet

Crooks through and through. They steal your car under the guise of salvaging it and supposed to give you money for the tons of metal you just handed over. They aren't a business.they are a scam. I will be sure to tell everyone I know and maybe even get it in the paper and on WGAL! Until this place is out of business.

Read the other complaints and all that is what I'm dealing with. Six months and still no payment

I wish I could give this 0 Stars. I left my toolbox here and the owner told me I had to pay a FINDERS FEE! To get it back. Because of previous times people lied about forgetting tools there. What a bummer. This place Sucks!

Horrible. Ive been calling for months after given an I. O. U.and still have not gotten paid from them. This is the worst place to go. Do Not go there!

I was given a $35 IOU about 6 months ago. They are "out of cash" every time I am there. Something is wrong if you own a scrap yard and don't have $35 in cash.smh.

Its been six weeks and still no money, don't understand how a business can take scrap from a customer and not pay them for it, i don't know what else to do I've been calling twice a day for six week.i don't have a choice but to go to the magistrate and file charges.

2012 no cash, give I. O. U.never honor.it. Was assaulted, physically by the owner after he said vulgar things to a female with me. No class!
