Jake's & Cooper's Wine Bar and Wine Shop, Philadelphia PA

Service was so-so. Food wasn't great except for the bread. The salmon was overcooked, dry; the gnocchi had no sauce - quite dry as well; the hanger steak was burnt. Not sure the price was worth it. Maybe if we just had pizza.

Drinks and service were good but the food was disappointing. I got the white veal Bolognese which had little flavor. Pasta was okay but would not recommend

Wish this wine bar was better. Has had the same tasting menu for about 1.5 years now. Also their wine is pedestrian. Is there no Somalia on staff? Way better wine bars in the city. Food is adequate but expensive and small portions. Really want more out of this place.

The service is poor. The food has gone downhill. The burger used to be special. It’s clear the owner’s are now cutting corners and using frozen ingredients. I asked for a rare burger and it came out fully gray in the middle. On the 4-cheese charcuterie board they didn’t have one of the cheeses in stock. So this is a wine bar, however when we asked our server about the wines they offered no commentary and acted bothered to have been asked about the wines. The real kicker is when the check came at the end of the meal. They automatically add a 20% tip for the server. Incredible stuff there and explains the terrible service. They have no incentive to actually provide good service here. They are entitled to a guaranteed 20% tip that is automatically tacked on to your bill. We were a party of 2 on a date night so it’s not like we were a large party. Steer clear of this place these days. Only a matter of time before this establishment closes and something more modern moves in. It’s best days are in the past.

Jake's and Coopers is my favorite restaurant in Manayunk. The food and drink are excellent as us the service. And they have an above average selection of wines on tap.

Great atmosphere. Our service was absolutely wonderful! Great drinks and salad. The pizzas looked delicious but unfortunately weren't to our liking. Very oily, messy and fell off crust. (No one should eat pizza with a fork!) I'm guessing it was the cheese we didn't like. I'm sure others like it. We'll definitely be back.

Just had a delicious dinner at jake & coopers. The everything bread is fantastic and the calves litter was very well prepared. Great service and everyone was very friendly.

Nice dinner with my wife and granddaughter. Yummy appetizers, tasty pizza and sumptuous entrees. Will make a return visit soon.

Jake and Cooper's is very consistent. In terms of food, they have a solid menu and it doesn't often change. They are definately one of the highest upscale options on Main Street. Though they are more upscale, their prices are high in comparison to other options locally. What makes this place stand out is their friendly staff and wine selection. I have discovered some of my favority Sauv Blancs here and their rotating selection will keep me going back. I recommend stopping in.

Excellent value, wine flights are $20 for three glasses of high quality wine (red or rose). The double burger is just wonderful, cooked to perfection with an excellent horseradish aioli. Will be coming back!

Dear Jake and Coopers,

I am taking time from my evening to write to whomever reads this review about the horrible costumer service I experienced from the manager (who is apparently the owners son) while dining at Jake and Coopers resturaunt. After a nice meal with which we ordered a bottle of wine our check was promptly brought by our waitress Brittney, who was very pleasant and attentive.

While waiting for our payment to be taken, we realized that the cost of our wine was two times the price we had expected to pay for it. I waved over the host- a man in a suit- and explained the misunderstanding. In that the menu explains to add 20 dollars to the listed price. Which unbeknownst to us, was the price in the wine “store. ” This was not explained, as we stated to the man. I asked if he was the manager and he said yes he was and brought over a menu to show us again what we had already read. When explaining he rolled his eyes, was unfriendly and did not take into consideration the HUGE misunderstanding which cost us 64$.

Needless to say he offered no condolences or comp to our check and walked over to the waitress obviously blaming her for the misunderstanding.

I will never dine at your resturaunt again because of the lack of professionalism and costumer service demonstrated by this manager (who as stated previously is the owners son…seriously?) I will let my friends know as well.

It’s a wine bar, so yes it has a great wine selection. But did you know you can buy bottles that you don’t normally find at a fine wine and good spirits store here? Pretty neato right? The food is good here, nothing to rave about though.

Really wanted to like this place and made a reservation for 2 on my birthday. We go in, get seated at a 2 top, and the hostess frantically comes up a minute later and makes us switch tables to a 6 person booth because there’s a reservation on our 2 top. Spoiler alert, no one ever sat at that 2 top in the 90 mins we were at the restaurant.

The food was okay at best. The shrimp dumpling appetizer really tasted like it was pre made from the freezer section and the sauce had no flavor. The rigatoni was such a small portion for the price ($22).

The decor was really trying hard to be a nice place, but none of the details really came together. Wires hanging from the tv, weird lamps, bad wallpaper… the ambiance was off.

Won’t be returning or recommending.

The food was decent abd the staff frendly. The part where they include a twenty percent tip as part of the bill is a situation I've NEVER seen before. If this gonning to be part of the bill then the prices on the menu are twenty percent lower then the actual price and an honest place would correct that.
