Dr. Harrop is a wonderful doctor he's done a laminectomy on me a few years ago. Now I'll be making an appointment to see him on my neck pain issues which is now affecting my right shoulder. I have plenty of faith in Dr. Harrop.

Dr. Harrop is an amazing surgeon, and overall just an awesome person. He and a team of surgeons corrected my sisters scoliosis. She had a 65 degree curvature in her spine. She is now upright. It was incredible. We are soo very grateful to have found him.

We went to Dr. Harrop for my mom’s back pain, when Jefferson found her neck issue is more urgent. Dr. Harrop not only arranged epidural on the same day of 1st visit to reduced her back pain, but did a great cervical surgery despite her age (80). His caring and skill deserve all the waiting!

Absolutely one of the worlds best neurosurgeons who wrote the book on spinal repair. Dr James Harrop
is an absolute caring, compassionate, Neurosurgeon who is super intelligent highly skilled surgeon who has performed multiple surgeries on myself and spouse with excellent results every time. Unlike most drs he doesn’t diagnose you after reading the radiologist reports from imaging studies, but looks at the films himself and always finds the exact problem in your spine that is causing problems, pain and ambulatory issues. Highly recommend this physician. Great bedside manner, witty and such an incredible doctor with a conservative approach to always fixing your medical problems

Dr Harrop is my hero! I had lumbar surgery in 2009! I am a RN and had what we thought would be a career ending injury. He helped regain my life!

Dr harrop was the best however it's been 2 weeks since my visit with him and I STILL dont have my precert number to get my catscan of my spine so that I can get injection done I have called a total of 5 times and JUST NOWgot a call from janell asking me what I needed he needs to fire that whole bunch of secretarial staff and get a new staff their the worst because after waiting in the dark for 2 weeks janell tells me it could take up to 2 more weeks I will never go there again I'll just have my Dr order a catscan and I will go to pain management at virtua so Sorry dr Harrop but your staff cost you business.

Dr Harrop is not only a world renowned neurosurgeon, but a compassionate physician who only wants to limit the suffering and improve the overall health of his patients. I have been a patient of his since 2003 and have undergone multiple surgeries, but only when we felt it was medically indicated. He discusses the risks, potential benefits, and expected course with his patients. When an injury required an intervention to prevent further harm he displays his leadership in educating me about why the surgery must occur, and based on the type of surgery the expected pain and outcomes in the postoperative course. There is no other surgeon I trust and am grateful to be a patient of Dr Harrop. Also recognize his wonderful NP’s Sue and Bessie who keep the team operating at the optimal level.
