I wasn't going to write a review but i'm still upset about my hair. I had a lot of hair come out after they bleached it and noticed it when the assistant was brushing out my hair. I understand its normal for a small amount of hair to shed after getting colored and then brushed out. But i have NEVER in all my years getting my hair done seen that much hair on a brush after getting foils/bleached. Then when i went home more hair was breaking off. Additionally she was double booked and then left for the assistants to mainly check my hair, tone it, and move me around. I was moved out of my original seat with all my stuff still over there so this lady and her dog can sit there and get service and was moved to blow dry my hair in another seat (they wanted to charge an additional $55 for a brow dry, which as a hair stylist wouldn't you want to fully dry your clients hair after to make sure your work is good?) She came over and only dried my bangs and after that i felt like i was being rushed out of there and didn't get a chance to finish drying my hair myself. For someone who spends hundreds and views getting their hair done as self care time it wasn't relaxing and disappointing how damaged my hair still feel after.

Clean. Considerate. Classy. No three words sum up my experience better. Dominica Romano is the go to stylist for natural looking highlights no matter how the hair moves. Not one hint of over-processing and the results are dramatically beautiful. My next appointment will be preceded by calling for a specific date and time but no one knew I was a walk-in client. I love the feel and I look better. Jason Matthew Salon on the second floor at the corner of 18th Street and Chestnut Street.

I got my haircut with Jill yesterday; I am so happy with the cut and style. She is so easy to talk to and I felt like I've known her for years! Overall, a great salon experience. I will be back!

You're not going to find a better hair salon than Jason Matthew. Nicole is the best hairstylist for blondes in the city. I've been going to her for 10 years and even though I've recently moved to the suburbs I'd rather drive to Philly than let anyone else do my hair! Jackie is great for extension too!

Erin does the best lashes. I get natural extensions. She is such an amazing person and incredibly skilled at her craft.

Let me tell you about my new bestie Jody! I just got my hair cut (pixie cut) done and I am a brand new person! Jody fixed my hair and I could not be happier! He talked me through my hair goals and told me what he was doing each step of the way. He also made small talk which is big because no one wants their hair done by someone who isn't personable!

The staff is welcoming and amazing! Everyone made me feel like I have been a long standing guest of theirs. AND they fit me in same day! How great is that? If you are in the Philly area and need a new salon - this is your place! If you are looking for someone who is amazing at short style - then Jody is your guy!

I was in Philly this past weekend for a wedding and needed a blowout and made an appointment with Joseph! He did such an immaculate job on my hair, My hair is so thick and curly and he made it look so perfect and shiny! Thank you again Joseph you're amazing!

Jackie is an absolute magician with color and extensions! She listens and does exactly what you ask for. She’s a master in invisible bead extensions and I couldn’t be happier!

Worst place to get keratin. The tell they are certified, but this is a lie! They charged me $400 for absurd job! Jimmy the guy was so rude and he doesn’t have any knowledge of what he is doing. He doesn’t even know the basics. NEVER go back to this place again! Waist of time and money!

I just moved to Philly and spent a lot of time researching where to get my curly hair cut and colored. I chose Joyce Miele, an owner of Jason Matthew Salon, and am thrilled. The color is excellent, she was able to match the color I already had and liked. It's so shiny and doesn't feel color treated. The cut is also fantastic. She listened and didn't cut more than I wanted but it is so much better. Best of all, Joyce was so fun to talk to. I have found a new hair home in Philly and couldn't be happier!

Jody does a great haircut. I have thick, wiry hair which isn’t the easiest to deal with. He takes time and is very skilled. I gets lots of compliments on my haircut.

I saw Rebecca for the first time tonight, I was a new client coming into the salon. She could not have been nicer! She was so sweet, professional, and did an amazing job! And I’m picky!

Its pricey but you get what you pay for. Love the atmosphere and the level of expertise I get from my hair dresser.

I cannot recommend this salon enough! I recently went to get my first full set of extensions (ever) in the middle of my painful attempt to grow out my pixie cut. Jason spent an entire day applying a full head of bonded extensions to my hair - almost 8 packs - and only stopped working when I needed a break. He was very accommodating and let me get on Zoom calls and do work while he was applying the extensions, and was simply pleasant and enjoyable to spend an entire day with. I absolutely love my hair and will certainly be going back in the future!

Super clean salon, they took every COVID precaution. Brittany did a great job on my grown out quarantine highlights. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone!

I found jason Matthew Salon through their makeup artist/skin expert Julie Rubenstein. After deciding on Julie for makeup for my wedding day and seeing the salon, I decided to do my hair here as well! Fantastic staff all around, and we were able to figure out the perfect combo of hair type/style to hair stylist for each member of our party (4 total). Everyone came out looking amazing in both hair and makeup and my hair style stood up to some light rain on the wedding day.

Jason is Amazing! The staff is friendly and accommodating. A pleasant experience all around.

Amazing salon! I just moved back to philly and I am so happy to have gone here for my hair cut! I am super particular about my bangs and Judy cut them perfectly and did an amazing blowout. Overall a wonderful experience.
