Jasper's Backyard, Conshohocken PA

Jasper's is a nice American restaurant. The ambiance is upscale, which is needed in Conshy. The food and service is solid, but can be a little hit or miss sometimes. We have had lovely meals here.

However, on our last visit, we were a bit disappointed that the server didn't seem to understand or take care when when we told her we were vegan. We don't expect everyone to get it, but we do expect restaurants billing themselves as upscale to adequately train their staff to be aware of common dietary restrictions and preferences, and what menu items to recommend. My boyfriend how not been keen to return, but I personally would because I do think our server was new and still learning.

Jasper's is a pretty restaurant and has some real strengths. I see a lot of potential there, and when they are on they are on. Hence the 4 star review, but given my last experience it is more like a 3.5. Will update review after I convince my bf to give it another shot.
