I'm not a big fan of most mechanics. With that being said I am happy with the service that I have received from JB Motor Works. I suggest them to anyone who asks me. The first time I had to utilize them was after a tow. FYI: The tow truck driver knew exactly who I was talking about when I was giving him the address. He had nothing but good things to say. So did theUber driver when I went over to pick up my car.

From my experience, they are honest, knowledgeable and fast.
They also work with quality parts. They take customers seriously and are pleasant to deal with. They sent me videos of my issue directly to my phone. Whether you want to fix it or not, it's up to you. They discovered my engine sparking and some leaking hoses. They called and provided me options with different ranges in pricing.

I also went to them for car inspection.

I've had friends do custom jobs PB Motor Works for installations and installations with parts that they've brought them and they did the job well.

*Why?
I am am writing this because I have dealt with crooks and dishonest mechanics in Philly and have put my trust in them to be disappointed. From well known Major chain companies that begin with the letters 'PB' and 'M' to online technicians that come to you 'YM'. BTW one such mechanic called me to ask me to loan him $250 until payday. I hope to keep encouraging good service through appreciation.

Cons:
I wish that they did transmission work because I know that they would do a good job perhaps soon.

Conclusion
I will visit again in the future and hope that this might lessen the worry of anyone looking for a good mechanic but does not have to be damaged twice.

I always get great service and the pricing is reasonable. They are the only one that services my vehicle.

JB Motor Works may be hard to find at first, but this place is a hidden gem! The staff are friendly and helpful. Before they did any repairs, they showed me what was wrong with the car and explained what my options were. I didn't feel pressured to get everything done all at once as they informed me what services can be done at a later time. Super convenient that if you cannot get to the phone right away they will leave an email or text message for you. Highly recommend to call in and make an appointment as they tend to get busy!

Staffs are friendly and helpful. Went there for an inspection and oil & filter service. Reasonable prices and good customer service

It’s really hard to find someone you can trust and rely on especially doing work to the car that gets you to work. Had to get a Timming chain done on a Ford 2010 f 150 my first time at the shop I have a background in mechanics Very professional at the shop explain everything went above and beyond to fix my vehicle Even fix a few things with no additional cost This particular Job is no cake walk Truck runs like new Detail recommendation report afterwards I would highly recommend this Shop Fair and honest Fair and honest I look forward to doing business with them in the near future like to thank the s Shop personally again for helping me out appreciate it

I’ve been going to JB motor works for years now as a female going to mechanic shops can be daunting but Everyone there is so informative and kind they are very responsible and care for your car like it’s theirs I appreciate them so much an wouldn’t bring my car anywhere else.

These guys are the best at what they do. They're honest and will tell you upfront what repairs are immediately necessary and which ones can wait on the back burner. They will also honestly suggest when a repair is just not worth it because instead of a "more repairs is more profit" mentality, they would rather not see their customers potentially waste money into a vehicle or repair that will not be worth it.

The staff was very friendly and they do excellent work on car repairs. This is a mechanic that you can trust with the care of your car.

Johnny and his crew are amazing. They do great work at a reasonable price. And have always given me a quote before working on my car. I'm so glad that I found them.
