I wonder if the experience depends on the student you get, but unfortunately I was really dissatisfied with my haircut. The overall experience was good, student and staff were lovely, but my haircut.not so much. We discussed and agreed to do a 1in trim with layers, wound up losing 3-4 inches at the bottom. Length was uneven and layers were also uneven and very choppy. It really did not look good at all. Buyer beware!

It’s a lovely space and I really wanted to like it however I was disappointed with my first visit and even more so with the second visit. The students don’t introduce themselves to you. The first visit I asked to be brightened up and left with hair darker than I came in with. The second visit, I got a cut and was styled with so much product that I had to do a clarifying shampoo when I went home because it legitimately felt dirty. The instructors are courteous and interact with their students thoughtfully. Unfortunately I am not interested in finding out if the third time is the charm

The students and instructor were friendly and attentive. The instructor was thorough and fixed parts of the haircut where the student was still learning. I appreciated the calm atmosphere, and I'm really enjoying my haircut. Thank you!

I tried out this place for the first time since a friend recommended it. Honestly super happy with how my hair turned out! I asked for a long wolf cut and I have very very thick hair so it took quite a while for my haircut but I really can't complain because I actually love it! I think it's one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten and only for $16. I will definitely be coming back for future cuts and I have already recommended this place to some friends and family! The supervisors also come around to checkout the student's works and remind them of what they have to do to improve which is great.

Great haircut at a minimum cost. I've gotten my hair cut there 4 times and it was great.

It was traumatizing. I cried so much that day i couldn’t bring myself to write a review until they just sent me a coupon. Please just be cautious.

Erin cut my hair today. She did a wonderful job! I have very thin, fine hair and have lost some due to covid that never grew back. She did her absolute best to give me a cut that I can manage on my own, a cut I really like and a cut that isn’t aging. She even went the extra step to read shampoo and conditioner ingredients to make sure there was no silicone or gluten (a lot of keratin type products have that & I’m completely intolerant). A great experience. I hope to get Erin again next month for a trim before she graduates. Erin is a success story, I’m hoping she lands somewhere I can get to and afford after graduation.

I've gotten some of my best haircuts here, I don't even bother going to pricey salons anymore. Why spend $50-80+ on a haircut that I'm not happy with when I can spend $16 and walk out looking amazing? The students are always awesome and the instructors are very thorough to make sure everything looks good before you leave. I've only had haircuts done here so I can only speak for that experience, but I've become very loyal to this location. You need to budget extra time for getting your hair done here because the students can be a little slow, but I have no issue with them taking their time since they're learning and I know I'll be taken care of in the end.

Super impressed by this place. Scheduled an appointment for 11: 30 am on a saturday, got promptly seated at 11: 32. Everyone who cuts your hair is a student, but there are professionals who I assume are the instructors who walk around and check in on the students as they cut your hair. Students are clearly well trained, you can tell they take their work very seriously.

Even though the operators are students the one I had Cynthia was polite, well trained, told me what she was doing and when need help asked the instructor. The instructor was well trained and used my haircut as a teaching device.the student operator was able to finish the hair cut. When finished the instructor came over rechecked the haircut and did some small adjustments. All in all, for $12 a haircut and $30d- using Avaida products The whole ""Cut and Color" was worth it and a good job. I was impressed with Cynthia's behavior.

Very great atmosphere! Feels good to contribute to a students learning by donating your hair for them to cut, style, etc.and you get a cheaper cut! Every student I have had has been great. The instructors will always check after the cut is done to make sure everyhting is to your liking and good on your end. They will help correct any mistakes/imperfections. So dont worry! Your hair will look great.

The cut takes a little longer than a typical salon, however its totally understandable, so dont get your undies in a bundle and expect for it to take a little longer as the students are learning and taking their time to perfect their skills!

If you are really that picky about your hair looking perfect, may I offer you some free advice.choose to not get it cut by students and go somewhere else, but dont come here and give a trashy review because the students work hard try their hardest and are learning.so be patient!

This is the worst salon I ever visited. They made mistakes and damaged my hair. They used products I did not consent to. My blonde hair became orange, black with many other brass like shades. I was charged more than double for their mistakes. There is no manager on duty. I spoke with a lead and she was rude, didn’t even wanna come to front desk. I was told she usually sits in the back and wouldn’t come assist me. I told them I’m not paying until I speak to her. She finally came and I explained everything. After and hour of back and forth, she gave me a little discount and told me to come back for a color correction at no cost. When I went back I was charged more than double the price and my hair looked worse. They charged me for products they used because of their mistakes which I did not consent to. There is no real manager on duty to assist. I called the director Danielle more than 20 times and left many voicemails. She didn’t even have the courtesy to return my calls. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of care and how unprofessionally this issue was treated. After many times of calling, I was informed by the receptionist to dispute it with my bank. She said the manger probably won’t reach out to me to resolve this matter. I am extremely upset, disappointed that a business would handle issues such unethically without resolving them.

Stylists were thorough and kind to my hair, especially since I'm black and I had virgin hair.

Cheap prices too.
