3I am a kidney transplant patient. I have to have labs taken every 4 months. Just had labs taken August 7 2023. Normal labs where sent NJ site. They have to send tacrolimus blood specimen to North Carolina after NJ site finishes with their test. When I had labs taken by Jefferson hospital lab all results where back to my doctor and my chart in 2 days. This is is unacceptable. Still no results for tacrolimus.
I arrived opening the laboratory and the wait to draw your blood is really unacceptable more than an hour and there are not so many people it is incredible if you can go to another laboratory do it. Incredible, the receptionist did not tell me that I had to go to register to be attended to, so I will be here for another hour or so They attended me now the doctor is very professional but reception is a failure
While convenient to Center City, this lab is anything but efficient.
It has been understaffed for years. A simple blood draw appointment involves a minimum of 1-2 hours wait.
Attempting to arrive when they first open is no different.
Jefferson Health should review this lab, setup and efficiency to ensure customers receive the best care.
