Jen’s Roti Shop and Caribbean Cuisine, East Stroudsburg PA

Finally really wonderful to have a Trinidadian Roti shop in East Stroudsburg PA. Great place, service and amazing hard working staff.

The Roti’s here are very good. I specifically have become partial to the buss up shot. My only issue would be that I have found a shrimp or two with the shell (minor thing) on and one time it seemed over cooked. Beyond that the food (that I have experienced) has left me satisfied.

Absolutely delicious! I’ve been there twice. The young ladies were busy but pleasant. The food is flavorful and addictive. I had the curry shrimp roti and it took me home to Brooklyn. It is so good! Just the roti skin by itself is delicious. I am so glad I found this restaurant and decided to give it a try. Now, it’s my new favorite spot. If you’re looking for authentic Caribbean cuisine, then look no further. This is it!

We stopped by Jen's Roti, shop during the week about 2pm. The ladies were very pleasant and nice. (From several GOOGLE posts, we expect to be treated unpleasant, but that wasn't the case.) The ladies were very busy filling online orders and walk-ins. It was a wait, not because they were slow, because they were attending to orders in the way they came in and every Roti order is made as the order is put in. We didn't mind the wait and waited our turn. We ordered chicken, oxtail, and Aloo Roti. All 3 Roti were BIG portion and very well seasoned. We also had some doubles and a rice and pea with stewed fish dinner. Our order was packed well and traveled well. Everything we ordered was well seasoned and delicious. Honestly, the food was so good, I thought, I was in a local shop in Brooklyn.it was such a pleasure to have an authentic Roti Shop in Monroe County. I will say my husband wasn't fond of the Marconi Pie.

Great food. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Staff is always ready to make a conversation. Food tastes amazing compared to what's around. Great overall.

The older lady who serves the food has the nastiest attitude What does it take for a smile? NO people skills at all Definately won't be going back there l feel sorry for this business

Listen fam when I tell you this food is so flavorful! I enjoyed my experience, taste of food and how nice all the staff was. As soon as you walked in the food smell is so inviting. The chicken roti here taste really good.
It just sucks they’re never open. You try to support a local business but they’re close more often than they’re open. Most times I have to call to find out if they are open before I make the 30 minutes drive.

Great to see more ethnic restaurants in the Poconos. Unfortunately I have to agree with the other reviews about their customer service. We were there first but a Trini or Guyanese man came in and she served him first. We asked how much the doubles were but couldn't hear because the music was so loud. They are $2.50. Compared to Singhs' for $1.25 on Liberty Ave in Queens, NY that is a rip off and there was no comparison. These are soggy with no flavor and very little chick peas.

Food is ok, but the bigger problem is the service… the servers are the slowest humans on planet earth! They take their sweet little time without any regards for customers time! The Milford road shop in East Stroudsburg… attitude stinks and they are soooooo slow to share a plate of food OMG! That’s why I don’t tip them!

The young lady at the register was pleasant but the older woman serving the food had an attitude. The Jerk chicken was dry also. Won’t be back to this place.

Idk what happened. My husband went there today for veggie roti. The Young Lady preparing the food had such a nasty attitude. I won't be going back there. It's a shame these restaurants are needed in the area but attitudes aren't. Sorry you only get one time for me. The whole atmosphere there has changed since my first time. I won't be back nasty attitude means nasty people. It was great while it lasted.

They changed their hours to close at 7pm. Food is OK, but due to the hours, I will not be attempting to go back.

Glad we finally have authentic Trinidad/West Indian food in the area. Great overall experience amazing food

You’re paying $20 to get 90% rice and the driest Mac I’ve ever had. Taste was good just not for price

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! The cashier young lady was pleasant BUT the female serving the food had the WORST ATTITUDE!
The food was OK BUT, you DON’T SERVE IT WITH LOVE… SO HOW CAN WE ENJOY IT? ! … Good Luck.

I gave it 5 stars because I'm West indian but, they advertise open but weren't open.
