JOANN Fabric and Crafts, Lancaster PA

I visited this store while on vacation from South Carolina. In my opinion, the sales clerks were not kind at all; especially the little stocky, thick Caucasian lady with the greyish, white, wiry hair. Because I was from out of town, I asked for assistance because like Walmart, they are all set up differently. Instead of showing me where the items were, she pointed. When I asked specifically what she was pointing at, she got a nasty attitude and began to tell me something about reading the signs. I cannot understand why people who are ill qualified in customer relations and also lack the education to comprehend that fundamentally, without customers, your bottom line is ZERO work retail. Her attitude was YUCKY! If you don't want to serve ALL races of people, and obviously you are not wealthy, sit home. Get out of the way! Get!

I was disappointed in the products for silk flowers in the quality and how messy the displays were It was difficult to find what I wanted and left with money in my pocket

Extremely disappointing and shady place. They sold my wife a defective sowing machine and proceeded to tell us that they do not accept returns on open products, which includes exchanges. This is quite ironic because you cannot tell that you bought a defective machine until you open it. They didn’t even offer to check the machine out or try to resolve the problem. Genuinely disappointed at the poor business practices and will never be going here again.

I had a very disappointing experience at this JOANN. I bought a sewing machine, which I was very excited about. Unfortunately, I found that it was detective, with the needle not being centered, set to the far left to be specific. This made it that I couldn’t change the presser foots. When I tried to return the machine, they would not let me, due it being open. They told me that I had to go through the manufacturer but did not provide any information on how to contact them. Be aware that if you get a sewing machine from here, and there’s an issue, you’re SOL.

I got some awesome fabric today but I was a little too late to get the ones I went for! As they were all bought out!

Every time I go to or call this specific store I end up feeling disappointed with the employees who work here. In store I feel judged by the workers since they are constantly on their high horses thinking their customers are idiots. They give rude and unnecessary opinions on my crafts without being asked. Every time I call, they don’t help me with what I was looking for or I have to repeat myself multiple times to get help with what I actually want. Terrible customer service. Awful attitudes. Bitter older ladies.

Only one cashier, long waiting lines, pine cones over bearing smell very disappointed in my visit to Joanne's fabric and this has occurred, multiple times, when going to Joanne's.

I was looking for textile paint and the website said they carried it but it's only something to be ordered online. I don't understand with all of the upholstery fabric they carry, why the would not have it in the store.
