Joe Perullo Structural Integration reviews
4I initially found Joe while just looking for a simple massage, but his structural integration service ended up having much more long-term, self-sustaining benefits. I had been slowly recovering from some pretty bad back injuries, and Joe's treatment helped to eliminate much of my chronic pain and stiffness. Before treatment many exercises would exacerbate my pain, but now I am able to do exercises and stretches on my own, and do them more effectively. So even now, months after my last session, it continues to be beneficial. In addition to the body work, it was also an opportunity to learn about the structures of the body and form better habits around moving and using the body. On top of that, Joe is very friendly, communicative, respectful of boundaries, and easy to get along with.
About a year ago I was looking for help and alignment with my scoliosis. I started doing the 10 series and I immediately noticed a difference in my chronic neck and back pain. I felt like I walked through life more aligned mentally and physically after every session. It’s been almost 6 months since my last session and I can say that I barely ever complain about bodily pain anymore, and when I do feel pain I have better ways of treating it now. I highly recommend giving the 10 series a chance!
I first saw Joe last December with severe lower back pain, to the point where it was almost debilitating at times. I was determined not to “medicate” my way out of this issue and 10 sessions later, I am convinced. Joe’s alternative approach was not always comfortable during the session itself, but the results are phenomenal. He coached me on ways to modify everyday movements like getting out of a chair or the car or as simple as posture when standing. Joe has brought me real and lasting relief and a new way of thinking about my body’s movements. I highly recommend Joe’s service and sincerely thank him for his help.
Since Thanksgiving, I have been on a health kick journey. I started eating healthy and working out regularly. Joe has become a huge part of my self-care routine. He's always been able to make me feel comfortable and heard. He doesn't really do a traditional massage, although he can if that's what you're looking for. He is a versatile healer. Joe has been using a type of bodywork style approach with me. As I started to trim down and gain muscle, he's been able to keep my aches and pains at bay. He squeezes my muscles and joints in all the right places, making me feel more agile and loosened up. He helps keep my body aligned and balanced. We've done stretching work and he's even worked on some old scar tissue from an old knee surgery. I have to see Joe at least every other week. My body needs his care to keep me from injury as I tackle my other health goals. I leave the massage feeling relaxed, standing taller, straighter, and with more confidence.
