John F. Byrne Golf Club reviews
15It was okay, the greens were pretty inconsistent across the board otherwise the course besides the horrendous tee boxes was in good shape. I do have a problem with them taking the flags in the middle of a hole. Coming up on twilight hours 7: 10 a 13 year attendant came around and said come back after this hole, no problem we knew carts were supposed to be in 7: 20. I was 150 out and the goober takes the flag. I was not thrilled at all.
Everyone’s on top of each other, fore calls everywhere, poor conditions, slow golfers. Overall, there’s better options.
Course is fine, but whoever the ranger is when the course closes needs to reevaluate his life. Dude takes out his anger issues from his failed marriage on the people on the golf course. That guy needs a serious reality check. Other than that, fun place to play some golf. Unless you’re playing twilight time.
Ĥaven't played a round of golf here for a while. Played this course last Monday and it was not bad.
Love playing on this course, especially because of how affordable it is. But whoever the ranger on Tuesdays is needs to be let go. He was aggressive to every group at the end of the day and decided to be rude for no reason. He was extremely aggressive toward us and was even worse with the group behind us. He tried to rush them off of the green and got into an argument so bad that we heard every word from over 300 yards away. After we brought our carts in, we talked to 2 other groups and they all had similar experiences. I’m pretty sure the ranger’s name was Steven Utz. I don’t know what other days he works, but try to avoid him so that your experience isn’t ruined like ours was
It's a nice get out of the same old thing with a few buddies, and I have done walk ons with others and it was always a positive experience, straight forward course couple cool holes, yah I've always enjoyed playing Byrne's course
Senior's greens fee with cart was $30.00 today.
Course is short but fun and in decent shape.
The place was good but the only problem is that everything in the store was expensive and they also didn't let you use the golf cart
Played on 7/22 - Course is in great condition besides some tee boxes having to be maintained. They do have a cart girl. Course is very short and this caused pace of play to be slow especially on the back nine with three straight par 3s. All holes are fairly close together so seemed like everyone was on top of each other and could get hit easily by the group on the next fairway. Overall for the price it was a great course.
Short but conditions are good. They have really fixed up the place. Good people too, Joe, Anthony, Rocko, Chuck, and others.
JFB is in great shape
The staff is amazing and focused on improving the first tee program
I gave it not so good reviews my first review, but since first tee took over this course is so much better now, the tee boxes to the fairways to the cart paths, and the clubhouse is outstanding, and it looks like they're still working on the course, me and my buddies come here alot now, the price of a round is still pretty low, give Byrnes a try you won't be disappointed, and it's pretty challenging.
I drove for my son who golf's here. It is a very nice public golf course well maintained and a good course.
Course is in great shape and has a really fun layout. First Tee has done a fantastic job with their renovations.
We had the pleasure of playing on May 3. The course was in great shape and the staff was very friendly. We were there about four years ago and this was not the same track. The First Tee and golf maintenance have done a terrific job of getting the course back in shape! A short course by todays standards but very interesting layout with challenging greens. Hats off to them for a job well done!
