We have Christmas eve dinner at Johnny Apples every year but this year was extra delicious! We had a party of 12 and every single person loved what they ordered. Michelle took care of us and she was great as far as service! Can't say enough good things and I had to take pictures to show all the delicious meals!

We had a crowd of 38 people on a bar crawl and Johnny apples. Was our first stop and everybody treated us great.

Picked up Thanksgiving dinner for 5. Everything was very good, stuffing was exceptional and the portions were generous. My only disappointment was the gravy, which was too salty and lacked flavor, don't think they added any pan drippings. But I had made turkey gravy in advance so we would have extra. We will definitely be ordering again next year!

Nice menu. Good portions. I enjoyed the chicken marsala w/risotto. Delicious. They've got assorted entertainment on their schedule. Will definitely visit again.

This is my second time dining here and it was great. The food is flavourful, the portions are a decent size and the waitress was super friendly. I got the chicken parm and it was delicious. I love the atmosphere here.

Went to Jonny Apples first time in years. I was very disappointed. My husband and I sat at the bar. The bartender was unfamiliar with how to make a common drink. Which I thought was odd, but no big deal. I switched my drink. A waitress came and shared the specials with us. I went with the porterhouse steak with mushrooms. Which was one of the specials. No salad was offered. It came with your choice of potato and veggie. Although they only offered one choice of veggie. (broccoli and cauliflower medley) Vegetable's were cold and did not taste fresh. Had the choice of au gratin potatoes or mashed. Decided on mashed and they were uneatable. The steak was cooked to my liking, however the meat was grisly. My husband decided on the Salmon stuffed with crabmeat witch was mediocre. He also did not like the mashed potatoes We eat out often at fine dining establishments. This was far from that. What was most disappointing was the price. Giving the quality of food. Sixty six dollars for just the steak dinner was not acceptable. Had it been a better quality piece of meat, without all the grisel and had they had offered better options of potatoes and vegetables that were fresh, we would have had no issue with the bill. As far as the ambiance it was a large bar and a little loud. But is fine considering we chose to eat at the bar. Unfortunately it was not worth the money and we will not be returning.

I have driven past Johnny apples for literally decades and never dined there until about a year ago. It is very good. In particular I like the beef & horseradish sandwich in fococia bread. I don't know why, but I tried the cheesesteak once. Let me save you some time: don't. It's not a cheesesteak. It's a "Philly" But other than that one mistake, my food has been good. My full blood Irish father in law gave the stamp of approval on the pot pie. My half blood Irish wife has only ever had good things to say about her meals.

The place always seems dead when we go, which is in stark contrast to how I remember seeing it 20 years ago when driving by on buck Rd. Back then it was always slammed. Now, it's looking pretty run down inside, with water stained walls and ceiling, cracked drywall, and just general wear and aging. It's unfortunate, because the food is still very good. I don't really understand what happened.

Delicious, first class all the way. Fine food done the way it's supposed to be done.
It's Christmas time and we revisited Johnny Apples. We had great meal, place was decorated nicely, people were super friendly, drinks cold delicious. You should try this place for an enjoyable time. We had New England Clam Chowder, salad, Broiled Scallops, Asparagus and mashed potatoes, it was perfect. So Enjoy.
This was a new place for us, having driven by many times, so it was time to try. Clean, friendly & helpful staff, mixture of new and stately decor. Good range of meal offerings, pretty much any beverage you might desire. They offer a wide variety of meal specials as well. We started with bacon wrapped scallops, mmmm. We had the Prime Rib, and Veal MichaelAngelo, with mashed potatoes, broccoli and a salad, finishing with a slice of Raspberry cheesecake. Everything was delicious and well prepared, they must have a chef. The prices and quantity of the food were reasonable. We are planning to go back there soon. If you're in the area you might want to try it out. Enjoy.

I got severe food poisoning from salmon, uncooked, black, cold sliced potatoes and vegetables.

Foods was good, but service and atmosphere was better. We tried cheese steaks, chicken francese, soup and salad.

Everything was fresh, service was good and provided with garlic bread at the table.

The menu changed not too long ago and since then the food has declined. It’s a good local bar/hang out. A little loud if you’re looking to sit and talk on the restaurant side but a decent staple.

Johnny Apples is a bar/restaurant housed in a farmhouse style stone building with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Overall, the food is consistently above average. The cheese steak spring rolls, although closer in size and crust thickness to an egg roll, were absolutely delicious! Whether one prefers a thicker or thinner shell is purely a matter of taste. The crab stuffed Orange Roughy was fabulous! The flavors perfectly complementing each other with the sum being greater than the parts. The vegetables and potatoes were unfortunately a bit bland and boring, subtracting from an otherwise amazing dish. Johnny's is definitely worth the try for someone seeking an above average restaurant that doesn't kill the wallet or a bar that offers more than bar food.

Great ownership, clean Restaraunt with a great Reuben among many other mouth watering selections.
