John's Roast Pork, Philadelphia PA

Honestly very disappointed in the cheesesteak i got here. It was probably a fluke, but honestly the worst cheesesteak ive had here in philly. The reason this review is 2 star is because i tried the pork sandwich my friend got and it tasted solid.

Great roast pork and cheese steak. Tbh the cheese steak was better than the pork but that says more about the steak than the pork.

Pretty disappointing experience. Visiting from out of town and wanted to try an “authentic” Philly cheesesteak. Got there at 2p. Waited in line 20 minutes and 30 minutes more to get food.

Ordered a cheesesteak with American cheese + onions, and a pork sandwich with spinach and provolone. No fries, etc.as fryer was broken.

Pork sandwich was cold and cheesesteak had mushrooms which wasn’t what we ordered. Neither sandwich worth the ~1 hr.wait. Maybe wait until they’re fully staffed to go there.

Outstanding stop in south Philly.

Rolls better, the meat quality is superior selections are great.
The best of all worlds, for all taste palates; chicken cutlet. Roast beef, roast pork, meat ball, and chicken and steak sandwiches.
John's, how could have I missed you this long.
Just stock on the regular Mt. Dew!

Cheesesteak was ok. Actually didn't even finish the whole thing. Fries were awful. It's like they were crinkle cut fries from there frozen food section with no salt.

Roast pork sandwhich was ok. Nicks roast beef was a better to me. Cashier had nasty attitude. I won’t be returning and would not recommend Johns Roast Pork to anyone

This is the best roast pork sandwich I've had in Philly. They have longshots to add to your sandwich as well. If you're in Philly, this is where you should try Philly's best sandwich.

Johns is one of the Best Philly places for Roast pork. They remolded since ive last been here, so now you stay outside, better for the employees since covid hit. If you Love Roast pork, you have to try this place. You won't be disappointed.

Just a great pork sandwich with lots of sharp Provo, so I smothered it with horseradish and chowed down.

Undeniably good sandwich but what was up with the “no more fried items”? Was there at 2pm and couldn’t get french fries because the frier was off for the day. Weird.

Wooooow! This places was the first cheesesteak I had in Philly. I was disappointed to not see wiz on the menu but that all changed on the first bite I took. I got the sharp provolone on the sandwich and it was nothing short of amazing and the bread was perfectly soft! I always recommend this place to people asking for the best cheesesteaks in town!

Staff and owner were very friendly which is great! The problem for me is they don't chop the steak meat fine. The cut of beef they use needs to be chopped fine otherwise you're chewing forever before you can swallow. Not my type of steak.

THE BEST! Don't bother with any of the tourist trap cheesesteak places. Save your time and go here.

2nd time there since they redid the front. First cheesesteak there since they redid the front. WHAT HAPPENED? Cheesesteak and fries were super greasy in the not-so-good edible way. I LOVE JRP. Long time customer, but this experience left me disappointed
