JONES AUCTION HOUSE, Spring Brook Township PA

Moved from NE Pa to South Carolina, dropped off items and was given paperwork on how things would be paid. One of the things were if sale of stuff was $50 or under the auction house would be taking 50%, we’ll make sure you understand as it’s not clearly stated is that is PER ITEM! Yes per item. So if you bring say thirty or so things to sell and they all bring in $45 per item you will only be receiving 50%. Had brought some very valuable coke Christmas stuff to sell as I did not want to drag it all down south to auction here and things went for a ridicules low price. Now I know it’s an auction and you get what you get. But all items totaled well over $50 dollars but not one of the items alone received over 50, I received 50% per item. So please beware. Funny thing is I did bring down less then 10% of the coke items here and sold them at auction and received about five times what I got for the whole lot up in Pa. So yea not real happy and it cost me 20% not 50%. So beware of who you trust to get the best bang for your buck that’s all I can say and you can make your own conclusions. I rarely if at all write reviews but can’t help but not to on this one. Still have connections and spending my summers in NE Pa and will go out of my way to tell every body to do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Also to note my stuff was auctioned befor end of Oct 23 and just getting my money Jan 30 2024. Here in south had cash in hand three days later.

Loved this place and the auction! Owner seemed friendly. I did have one issue I noticed. The one employee with long hair was bidding on stuff as well, which is fine not a big deal. The problem I had with it was that he was very sneaky and disrespectful the way he was doing it. He was caught from a few people hiding stuff under the table and in totes. When you advertise that the public can view all items at 9 a.m. That should mean all items not just that the stuff that the employee doesn’t wanna purchase.

Thoroughly disappointed in the yearly blow mold auction. There were just as many brand new blow molds from the current year sold if not more than older ones. We don’t go to the auction to buy current blow molds, it defeats the whole purpose.

I bid on an item online which was boxed and only the box was shown. When the item arrived, the box did not contain what it purported to contain. The contents were worthless.
I paid money for a worthless item and not what was shown on the listing. I sent them an email.it took some time, but they sent me a replacement item at their expense, along with a very nice letter of apology, explaining the item was not packed by them, but they wanted to make it right as they were sorry they did not inspect the box before the auction.
I was surprised and pleased.

First and last time coming here. Very disgusted with this auction. One auctioneer was very biased to regulars. At end of auction they ask if there's anything that you want to put up for auction, but apparently that's only for the regulars. We requested items up from 2 runners and were ignored.

I love Jones Auction house, don't get me wrong. I've gotten some great deals there and the family is great.
That being said, the wait time to get your money for items you dropped off for them to sell is ridiculous.
I dropped off my stuff on the 14th of June and it's now August 2nd and I still have not received any money.
I have a friend who sells through Lark Mountain and she said she gets paid in a week. Why so long to get paid, Jones Auction House?
I don't like writing unfavorable reviews about businesses I like but this is really unacceptable.

I love this auction house! I always find the best treasures in either the online or live auctions. The Jones family is wonderful and so friendly!
