I called JR’s Tree Service after a windstorm split a large dead maple tree in half next to my house. He came out the next day while I was at work and called me with an estimate. Never having had to do this before I was shocked. $2200.00! Naturally I called and got two more estimates and the next closest was $3400.00 and the third was a even higher. I decided to use JR’s and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER.he was pleasant, professional and thorough. His team did an excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone. The only TINY drawback is that he doesn’t take credit cards and I use mine for everything so I get that 5% cash back. When I expressed that to him he gave me a $200.00 discount. Never hurts to ask. Use them you won’t be disappointed.

We found an ad for JR’s in a Valpak mailing. JR agreed to remove2 tress and grind 2 stumps. We asked for a written quote and he stated he doesn’t
do that. His crew removed the 2 trees but did not grind the stumps. They indicated they would return the next day and grind the stumps. They asked for payment minus $150 for not grinding the stumps. His worker communicated to us that they would return within the week. They have never returned to grind the stumps and we have made numerous calls to them and the stumps have still not been removed. Our check was cashed on 9/21. We chose his company because he said he would remove the trees and grind the stumps. JR has not fulfilled the terms of our agreement. Be careful when using his service.

Hired him to do some tree trimming, but was rude and discourteous upon arrival, even used profanities. So I told him to get lost.

From start to finish I had a great experience with this company. I saw the crew in my Cranberry Township neighborhood and asked for an estimate. Jacob W, the new foreman was true to his word in terms of estimate and date of work. He is a hardworking young man. All the bushes were beautifully trimmed. The tree and stump removal were excellent. Josh his crew mate did an excellent job cleaning up the debris and smoothing out the dirt. I recommend this company.

I had two trees removed in March 2021. I called and the owner stopped by and gave me an onsite estimate that day and his 3 man crew removed the trees the next day. They were professional and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend JR's-I've actually already referred them to two of my friends. 5 stars all around!

I had trees removed Friday and the JRs team did a great job. Nice professional staff. Today Jake added top soil to a new flower bed and planted a bush for me. I recommend this team for your yard work needs.

Jacob trimmed my bushes and they look beautiful. I had several trees taken out and stumps chipped. His crew mate Josh, did an excellent job with clean up, raking and disposal of branches and debris. Team came promptly after accepting quotation. They worked together efficiently and safely to remove 2 pine trees. Cleaned up area completely. They were friendly and courteous. The price was right/reasonable.

I had them take down and remove a very tall tree in my backyard that had died and was threatening to fall (and cause house damage). JR's crew arrived on time, worked quickly and professionally and brought it down exactly where they needed to without damaging any other trees. They went the extra effort to really clean up well afterwards. All in all, good price, friendly and efficient crew, I'm happy and will use them again.

A worker for JR's stopped by May 21st to give us a quote on the removal of a large pine tree and stump. The worker quoted $600 to cut the tree and remove the stump. The worker told me that his boss would call that eve to confirm. No call was received. The next morning on the 22nd, I heard noise on the front lawn and the tree was down. Nobody had confirmed or knocked. They told me that they could not take out the stump and to make the check out for $550. So, I asked are you coming back to take out the stump? The worker told me that the ground was too wet and they would return and take it out when the weather got better. So I said, when you come back I will make out a check for $50? His reply was yes. We left three messages that were not returned. Mid July I put a review on Yelp. After posting the review the owner called me and told me that I falsely posted. He indicated that I complained that the job was incomplete and that I never paid for stump removal. He also told me that his stump removal equipment was in the shop and even tried to give me a number to call and verify. Long story short the stump remains. My suggestion is that if you use this business, get the quote in writing, make sure that all equipment is on site before they start, and pay when the job is complete.

These guys were awesome. Professional, courteous and very reasonable. Even the neighbors commented on how impressive they were. Took down a whole row of pine trees in no time and for a good price. Would definitely use again.

My sister and her neighbor just had a large Locust tree removed that was a safety threat and also had a cherry tree on the property trimmed/topped off.

The crew on the job was great. They were professional, courteous and the main tree climber on the job was amazing to watch as he carefully roped off limbs to bring them to the ground safely. The locust tree was very close to the neighbor's home so it had to be taken down using exact technique.

The lead man on the job also explained the trimming process and was able to top off the cherry tree while allowing it to still live and thrive. Their team was also very respectful of the grounds around the area and cleaned up the site completely.

I would highly recommend JR's service to anyone needing tree removal and/or lawn work.

JR's Lawn and Tree service drove into our yard with their truck and trailer on a wet day putting deep ruts in it and tearing up the grass. They had promised they would fix it and never showed up when they said they would. Also, while they were here, their trailer got away from them on the hill and slid down the street which could've harmed someone. Very amateur and unprofessional.

I had 2 huge branches that needed to be removed from a maple tree. Hundreds of pounds each. They did a great job, quicker than I expected, and cleaned up really well!
