Jules Goldman Books And Art reviews
8 A long corridor of masses of framed and unframed prints, hemmed in by two walls filled to the brim with old books.what else can one ask for? Very reasonable seller. Open to haggling.
All in all, adventures (and treasures) await the patient explorer of the past!
The store owner was rude to me. I was ready to shop. I have an autoimmune disease and walk with a cane. But I'm steady and can walk stand sit etc. He was very gruff and accused me of knocking things over, kicked me out and slammed the door in my face. I'm a successful artist and museum educator and should be treated with respect. I've followed the proper channels to have his premises inspected and shut down as a fire hazard. He might also want to tidy up his tax returns. This place needs a new owner.
I loved the experience! Jules (I’m assuming) was super friendly and nice. Fair prices for sure. Definitely messy but most antique stores are and I find it charming.
Whenever I come to philly, this place i drive to right off the plane. You have to dig but you can find some real jewels.
This shop is a really fun treasure hunt for art collectors and book collectors alike. You gotta set aside some time to dig and find that piece that catches your eye, but when you do it is well worth it. The owner is extremely friendly and will make a fair deal with you. 10/10 would recommend when in Philly.
Awesome finds if you re willing to dig. Owner is a bit tough to nail down when he is open, but when he is its worth the wait.
Owner is extremely rude and the inventory is overpriced trash. You'll find better quality at the local flea market.
Messy and honestly a bit of a hot mess, I wouldn't have it any other way. So many hidden gems in there!
