My grandmother is a resident here. I get that places are short staffed but this place can’t be hiring whoever to get hours covered. There is one aid in particular that is extremely rude and disrespectful to residents. She started here in March I believe. I have witnessed her being extremely rude to residents on multiple occasions. The quality of care has definitely decreased drastically within the past year.

Treat their residents like inmates, not assisted living. Residents are quarantined into their room with nothing wrong with them. Need investigated!

I have just spent 2 weeks here for knee replacement. The staff treated me well, the food is great and I had plenty of help being rehabilitated. The staff checked on me constantly asking me if I needed anything.

A wonderful place to complete your observation hours. The rehab staff is more than willing to help students observe this facility. If you need to complete your observation hours, give them a call.

My mom's care here at skilled nursing/rehab was truly poor. She could not advocate for herself and I feel that the staff just ignored her. The skilled nursing is very understaffed for the level of care the residents need. Staff seems uncaring and uninterested in general, particularly nurses. Took multiple phone calls to get rehab started after a broken wrist. Dining room is chaotic with late meals and not enough staff to help residents who need assistance with feeding. Only reason my mom was here is that it was only facility with an open bed when she left the hospital. If I had to do it again, I would look outside Centre County which would be inconvenient for me, but would allow better care for my mom.

Also, please be aware that 5 star review from Kathryn Bainbridge happens to be the nursing home administrator there at Juniper Village at Brookline. Are you kidding me-how is a 5 star review from the person in charge of running this facility helpful in any way for families trying to make a choice for their loved one. That seems really shady to me and a significant conflict of interest.

As the Director of Wellness here, I have the distinct honor of comparing my current career environment to the other facilities I worked at over my 35 year career. As I focus on where I want to spend my time working, the task of choosing the right place led me to Juniper. I could not be more pleased to be with Juniper for the past 9 months. The genuinely compassionate associates and leadership make each day worth my decision to join the team. We strive daily to exceed the expectations of our residents and families. I envision being part of the leadership team until, some day when I join the Connect4Life programming myself.

My great grandmother was cared for at a nursing facility for almost 10 years prior to her passing. The building was old and grungy and falling apart. Every time we visited we were overcome with the “old person” smell which is a mix of urine and odors due to lack of hygiene. This was all she could afford. However, at Juniper Village at Brookline, the “old person” smell does not exist. It’s clean and the building is very well kept. Cleanliness is so very important. I wish my great grandmother could’ve been cared for at a facility as clean as this one.

I have had very little experience with this company, but I feel that something needs to be said. A friend of mine who works here asked members of our club to "write a good review" if we got bored on our day off. This puzzled me because none of us had experience with this company.so why would we write a good review? I looked through the reviews to find that most are put forth by employees. The owner then goes through these reviews and ratings and thanks them for posting. While reading reviews of people who have experienced this care facility as a consumer, it doesn't seem to be as great as the employees are making it seem. I will not speak on that, though, as I have not had the experience. My 1-star rating is purely based on the ethics of this facility, and shame on the administration for pandering for good reviews.

I have been coming to Juniper Village at Brookline for a very long time. I used to come visiting with my grandparents when they would visit there friends. They always had so many great things to say about it. They would say how friendly the staff are, how happy the residents are, and how well kept/clean it is. They are now extremely happy to know that I am getting my administrative in training internship at Juniper Village at Brookline. Juniper Village at Brookline is by far one of the best long term care facilities is State College. I would 10/10 recommended.
