Kaercher Creek Park reviews
20It's a nice lake. Be a lot nicer if people would show some respect, PICK UP after yourselves. If you can carry it in with you, you can carry out when you leave. Same with fishing line. DO NOT leave it on the ground or balled up in a bush. It's devastating to wildlife. It's anglers like these, I would love to see get slapped with a hefty super dooper heavy fine and their fishing license suspended for years.
It is a beautiful place. We enjoy fishing. However, very difficult to find open spots from land. Bushes and weeds fill area in quickly. We were spoiled for the many years the entire park was open. Thank each volunteer who keeps it so nice. (ps.outhouses are scary!)
Amazing place to walk around and enjoy nature. Saw an eagle there that made my entire week!
Four stars because the state stopped maintaining the grounds and closed the buildings. It's still a beautiful place to visit with a nice boat launch.
Great kayaking. Not a lot of people. Good bass and muskee spot just don't use a grapple anchor. There is a cable that runs across the lake
A great place to take a hike, fish, or kayak. We take the boat also, but it is electric motor only.
Beautiful area to walk around on the trails. I only wish they had the restrooms open and trash cans around the area. I see people fishing and kayaking in the water. Nice relaxing spot.
Never have I been here before but I'll sure be back for some great looking fishing! Beautiful lake should be great fishing!
Great little gem tucked away. Didn't catch any fish, but still had a blast. Beautiful to look at, plenty of places to hike. Bathrooms appeared to be shut down and/or permanently closed. Keep that in mind if you are planning to stay awhile. There were enough bank spots to fish from, but on a busy day you might struggle to find a place to cast in. Most of the fisherman there were on boats! Soccer fields and a playground there as well. However I did not use them so I cannot attest to their condition.
Small but very good bass were very big I caught a 2 pounder and a four and a half pound bass and I was only there for about 4 hours really good
Nice trail for a leisurely hike with the kids. Looks like a nice lake for kayaking/fishing.
Def could be upkept more than it is. I remember it in its glory days when it was managed before the problems with soil. Fishing hasnt been great in years but im still trying. Maybe itll bounce back.
Beautiful experience! They have boats there, not sure if they're available for the public. Part of it was clos led but we found a quiet spot on the grass and ate there. Then we went on a trail. The lake is so clear, the reflection was perfect. Beautiful!
Nice setting and good hiking grounds for hawk siteings. Does not appear to get overly crowded, but possibly on weekends.
Boats getting ready to launch for the third annual Friends of Kaercher Creek fishing tournament
Ashame how the park has deteriorated!
Someone needs to take responsibility and they know who they are!
We went for a very long hike around the right side and end up getting lost a little bit and ending up on somebody's farmland. Good adventure with the kids.
Nice little park and lake. There are trails if you walk across the dam. The lake has bass and trout in it. Good for a nice evening hike if you don't have a lot of time. And someone's cat was sleeping on the bank.
Gorgeous park for a stroll through the fall foliage. Vistas are plentiful as you walk around the lake. Can't wait to come back with my kayak in the future.
This place was beautiful, and I didn't make it all the way around the lake or pond, I heard something in the bush and got nervous being alone i didn't have my air horn with me so I turned around the pictures were breath taken. This place is nice for a hike, even better if your not alone
