Kahal Kadosh Mikveh Israel reviews
6Kahal Kadosh Mikveh Israel is a captivating blend of history and reverence. The synagogue's timeless architecture and historical significance make it a must-visit. The inclusion of letters from Washington and Trump adds a fascinating layer to the experience, providing a unique glimpse into pivotal moments. This site's dedication to preserving history and offering insightful displays earns it a solid five-star rating.
Historic synagogue with such welcoming vibes (if you just ring) and great little exhibition! The rabbi even came and gave us a tour about the historic significance of the shul. Super interesting (all US-presidents wrote letters to the Synagoge)! Plus he’s truly inspiring, open and just so fun to listen to! Added a new and crucial dimension to our Philly history tour.
So friendly. Got an informal free tour from the Rabbi of this lovely serene sanctuary.
Such an incredible, historic, and warm place! All are truly welcome for a unique Spanish-Portuguese Sephardic experience, whether you are Sephardic or not (I’m not!) — and the food is always great. Shabbat meals and tefilah every week
Historic congregation with unique customs, preserving the original American Jewish tradition. The Spanish and Portuguese Jewish community in America is older than the Thirteen Colonies. I enjoyed a wonderful Purim Party and returned for the first days of Passover where I was treated to delicious catering, a family atmosphere for the haggadot (seders), and an eclectic and enthusiastic crowd in attendance. Feel free to dress all the way up for the first two nights of Passover, as is our custom!
One of US's oldest fully running shul. Great Rabbi & community. Very welcoming.
