Kajimachi Japanese Steakhouse reviews
15Everything was perfect! The food was delicious and of course the portions were almost too much. Their Japanese ketchup and mustard was my favorite, as well as the calamari
The smell when walking in should have tipped us off to go somewhere else. Been to at least 20 different Japanese steakhouses this is the first one we had to pay extra to get fried rice. Can't say we would come back under any circumstances. There are better options with 10-15 of here
Went there for my birthday and it's the best kept secret. This place used to be Benihanna but literally nothing has changed. Food is exceptional, service is good and if your lucky enough to get "Hok" as your chef, you will not be disappointed. He has 46 years experience and everything at this place is just amazing.
The place is dated and a bit unkept. Not "dirty", but it was very untidy. (Random paper towels around, the vacuum left in the middle of the restaurant, etc.). The food was so-so. Everything was way over seasoned, but at least it wasn't over cooked. I had high hopes for the sushi but was disappointed. We took advantage of the $30 off birthday coupon which was nice, but we still dropped over $125 for a family of 4 with 2 kids and no alcoholic or special drinks. The "show" was a let down. Yes, he did the typical things, but he was so far from being enthused. Go again? Probably not.
Loved the veggie rolls, seaweed salad, and fried rice I ordered. Staff was kind and very welcoming. I look forward to eating there again!
We had a party of 10 for a birthday celebration.
Food was fantastic and so was the service.
Chef Hoc was very engaging and entertaining and made us fantastic dishes.
Grilled shrimp& soup are appetizers given with each meal which are very good.
Our party's meals included chicken, steak, scallops and salmon which were made to perfection.
Seating was in a C shape which made it easier to talk with everyone seated at our table.
This was a very fun experience and is a great place for get togethers.ideally 5 to 10 people in my opinion.but I'm sure they can accommodate more if needed.
I suggest reservations be made.
I would love to go back again.
Give them a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed
Terrible Food, Terrible Customer Service.
I went there one Time and i ordered the Rice bcs i love Rice and they cook on front to me and i told him please do not add to much Oil because i don’t like oul to much and he didn’t say anything and he threw a lot oil inside, and i eat little only and after half hour i Throw everything out.almost 40$ for two Rice only omg i can’t believe but now i believed.
Never ever again.
Food was great service sucked though. Felt like since I had a big party and gratuity was automatically added to the bill, the waitress was not attentive. Plus, they ran out of tea and yum yum sauce. It was not busy that day, maybe two tables. In addition, I told them it was a special occasion, and they told me they would do something, but nothing was done.
DO NOT EAT HERE. IF YOU WANT STRAIT BLACK HAIR ROLLED AROUND YOUR OVER PRICED SUSHI, THEN EAT HERE. $16 PER ROLE. BUT THE HAIR WAS FREE. THEY NEED HAIR NETS. THEY CLOSE FOR HOURS FOR LUNCH SMH, AND THE PORTIONS ARE SMALL BUT THE PRICES ARE HIGH.
I haven’t been here in awhile and I was really looking forward to enjoying a nice meal. I called ahead of time to make a reservation, but when we arrived we had to wait 20 minutes for our table. I didn’t think it was a big deal until we got seated. We waited another 10 minutes waiting for service and nobody came to greet us, ask for our drink order, or even say that they’re running a little behind. I just got a white women with black short hair looking at us obviously noticing we haven’t been serviced. So, just to wrap everything up I will not be returning and telling people to stay away from this place.
We love it here. Unfortunately the last time we were here our chef was horrible. After being told numerous times, he still messed up every single order (we had 7 people all together). He had to be told to wipe his face because his sweat was dripping on the grill. He was not entertaining at all. We all just wanted to go. Our bill was around $500. Not complaining about the price but if we're paying that much to eat then it needs to be great 100% of the time. I'm not sure if we'll be back. It was definitely an unpleasant experience.
Had a lovely birthday celebration. Chef was engaging and accommodating. Excellent care with our son's dairy allergy. Will be back.
Great entertainment while cooking you a great meal. The flavors were amazing and the portions were of good size. There is plenty of room in this restaurant and each table seems to hold up to 8 people. Nice place to eat.
The karaoke night on Saturdays is exciting and full of great people. The price of plates, is shamefully expensive. Do not ask for the Sashimi Sampler. It only came with 3 different fish: two types of tuna, and salmon. For $24? ! I don't mind paying for quality food. But even the thickness of the pieces das half of what I get in many other places for less. Eat there only if you have money to burn.
This place has seen better days it feels dirty and it's dark inside. The food is just so so. Won't ever go back.
