Karns Foods, Carlisle PA

First time going there. I'm visiting the area. All I can say is it is a total shame that we don't have one of these where I live. The selection is amazing. Their meat and deli dept is amazing and the staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. Definitely 5 stars and two thumbs up.

Clean store, have someone at front entrance offering sanitizing wipes for carts etc. Asked an employee about Apple Valley creamery chocolate milk as we saw the truck in the parking lot but shelves were empty he went back and got it for us.

The lady running the register was extremely rude to me and two other shoppers in line. Will avoid her from now on.

I really like to support a small town business. Locally owned and they carry many local grown products.

A smaller Supermarket than Giant. Better meats, more varied deli. Good produce and EXCELLENT baked goods. A little pricier on some items, but good value.

Seems to be a cleaner than most, but the girl at customer service, would have been better off in an area that did not deal with people. She didn't seem very fitted for a service job, and all I wanted was a can of chew. Sorry I made you get off your phone and do your job, but to then give me attitude about it.unexcused.

His meat prices are a little high for us seniors on a fixed income. I was promised a good chunk of meat. 3.00$ per lb.weight would be 25 lbs. Ya right. I hate stores that take advantage of us! Only reason I still shop their is convenience. NELLS WAS BETTER BY FAR!

Store was out of many things this week and there wasn't a snow storm! Have to continue to check expiration dates on what I buy too.

Never getting shrimp for new new s again here. Shrimp was supposed to be warm it's room temp. And sitting out on counter. They add Old Bay after cooking defeating the purpose of any spice and the wrong shrimp wanted ez peel got some farm raised shrimp that was 10.99 a lbs. Ez peel same size was only 5.99 a lbs. Way to rip off customers and potentially make them sick. Make sure shrimp is kept warm or cold sitting out till it's room temperature is not ok. I do wonder how long it sat there if it feels like it wasn't steamed and wasn't in the refrigerator. Just saying.

We have been buying our meats in bulk and fresh seafood from Karns for 25+years and have never had anything bad. Just had their special on sale, clams and oysters. Delicious and fresh.

Open till 22: 00 7days a week. Prices not like at walmart but if you live around the corner and need sour cream at 9: 30pm. 5hats the place yoy want to go!

Whenever I shop at Karna Foods I always find what I need, the meat department has high quality meats at very good prices. The service is friendly and quick.

The Karns meat department is legendary. Their quality is absolutely the best, but if you are savvy, they can also be a great deal. I've gotten chicken wings, bacon ends, and veggies for super cheap (just have to watch for the sales.)
Above all, I love their support of PA producers. They stock a ton of local products and produce. From canned beans to hot sauce to fresh mushrooms, I bought a lot of Pennsylvanian goods in my last shopping trip.
