Kelly Scott Studios - Voice & Music Lessons, Bellefonte PA

I have had several vocal instructors in the past, and Kelly Scott has been the best I have ever had. She is very knowledgeable and I have learned so much from her. In addition, she is energetic and overall brings a really fun, friendly, and exciting vibe to lessons. I cannot recommend her enough!

Even though I have degrees in voice performance, I met Kelly following a long hiatus from music and theatre. When I initially sang for her I was holding back both vocally and emotionally. She reinforced the basics of breathing, projection, and diction and restored my confidence as a singer. I can't recommend her highly enough for teaching and coaching in any style or genre of music. She intuitively meets you where you are and takes you to the next level, always with positive feedback and humor.

Kelly is a fantastic vocal coach! She recently was my music director for a community theater production and she was wonderful to work with. I am not the most musically inclined and she was able to help me thru some truly difficult music pieces. She’s both extremely professional and fun during her sessions, making it a joy to work with her. She has shared her knowledge of vocal anatomy, music structure, and techniques in a manner that is both understandable and obtainable for anyone, beginners and experienced vocalists the like. I highly recommend Kelly for any vocal lessons!

As the parent of one of Kelly's students, I could not be more happy with the choice to join her studio. Kelly has helped my daughter grow vocally in a short amount of time. Not only is Kelly incredibly knowledgeable, but she is also extremely professional. She has a positive and caring approach as an instructor, yet still maintains the "just right" amount of challenge and feedback. Quite simply, Kelly is a master of her craft. Kelly is wonderful and welcoming voice teacher! I started lessons with very little confidence in my voice and how to utilize it. Every lesson I gain more confidence in my singing and more knowledge in how to use my voice to the best of its ability. Very grateful for all she has to teach me.

Kelly Scott and I have worked together on numerous occasions. Her demeanor, knowledge, work ethic, and student expectations are stellar. As a director of AGOSC, she stepped in as a music director when ours unexpectedly was unable to fulfill the duties. Kelly performed miracles with the vocalists and pit band that surpassed our dreams. Working at PAHS as a teacher, I encountered Kelly many years ago as a substitute on many occasions exhibiting a personable attitude with students and colleagues, yet with firm discipline. Most importantly, I entrusted the vocal instruction of my two daughter with Kelly, who pushed them to not only develop healthy vocal practices, but develop confidence and pride in themselves. I am very excited to work with Kelly again in the future!

I've had the pleasure of working under Mrs. Scott multiple times. Most recently in shows put on by the Majestic Theater in Pottsville, Pa. Anytime I've needed help, she has always made time in her busy schedule to assist me. Her talent as not only as a musician, but as a leader is second to none!

Kelly is a phenomena teacher in voice and makes sure that that her students are successful no matter what. I took voice lessons with Kelly for 4 years since my freshmen year of high school. Without her training and extensive knowledge I would not be where I am today working toward my BA in vocal performance. I am forever grateful to have been taught by her!

Kelly is a fish in water when she works with her students. She is as professional as they come, and she’s a master of her trade. I have learned so much from her, and there is no doubt that she is doing exactly what she was meant to do, and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

In the 4 years that Kelly worked with my son Andrew she was a complete joy! His voice changed and grew so much while he was studying with her. She gave him the tools to achieve so much success in the time he studied with her. She will always be considered the best in my book!

I have worked with Kelly many times and every time she has been incredible. She has a great deal of knowledge in her field and is also just a fun, compassionate person to work with. I had a lot of anxiety about singing in front of people when we first started, but she always made me feel comfortable and gave me techniques to get out of my head and into my voice. She also picked pieces for us to work on that we’re new to me and fit my range, but also allowed me to explore and try out pieces that I wanted and helped me find new registers and parts of my voice. I am so grateful for the time we worked together and I have nothing but positive experiences and kind words to say about her. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone I know!
