Chicken Restaurant KFC reviews
4The food was excellent friendly staff I highly recommend I'll definitely be back
Kfc famous bowl is sad had 4 pieces of chicken and instead of it being the old popcorn chicken it seems they just take a chicken tender and cut it up now.
I am giving a 1-star review for the simple reason that the store and the app falsely and consistently charges more than what is advertised. This is not just a few cents but sometimes resulting in the bill being double or more.
For example, the phone app had two specials: 8 hot wings for $4.99 and 8 PC bucket for $10. I went to the store and the order was actually $5.99 for the wings and $21 for the chicken. A total difference of $12. The original advertised price for just the chicken was $11 less than the final price.
The explanation from the store manager was multifaceted.
1) the store is not corporate so has its own rules
2) the store doesn't control the advertising
3) in small print if you scroll to the bottom of the app screen at the end of a legalese paragraph, there is a statement that prices vary from store to store.
4) I was told by the manager to read the ads more closely so I won't waste time in the future.
5) I was given a "customer service" number which I called. I was told that they only take message and "thanks for calling".
6) I left a message requesting a call back and a coupon for a free 8pc bucket. I was overcharged, after all, for more than the difference. It's been a week, I am still waiting for any reply.
7) Despite the deception, the app does charge the store price when placing an order. So, the ad for $10 chicken on one screen becomes $21 on the order screen despite having used the "coupon" for the $10 price. It's interesting that the charges are "correct" but no one can program the app to prevent false advertising.
Unfortunately, I like KFC chicken so continue to go despite always feeling that I am being exploited.
