Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh

We came for the weekend and right from valet to us checking out it was great! The restaurant downstairs has a low lit comfortable atmosphere with great food morning and night. The decor is eclectic but whoever did it, pulled it together! The hotel is pet friendly so if that’s an issue request a room that is on a non-pet floor, although we didn’t see a pet this weekend.

The free wine from 5-6 was also a very nice touch:)

Lastly the location is close to many cafes and restaurants and the river.

I’ve decided $ for $ this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Got a great deal and think we were in the lowest priced room which was absolutely *lovely* - trendy nice decor but still practical.
Happy hr drinks were great, the restaurant breakfast is great - it’s a nice restaurant anyway.
Location is perfect for discovering the city too.
Special shout out to the reception staff who were always friendly despite high volume of guests and got us into a room early off a red eye flight - if we’re in Pittsburgh again, no debate we will be staying here again!

Stayed for 2 nights, and our suite exceeded our expectations. The suite was a lot larger than expected, at a reasonable price point.

Pros:
- Staff was friendly and professional.
- Valet service was streamlined and always had our car ready within a reasonable time.
- The Commoner restaurant serves tasty food!
- Location is easily accessible and within walking distance to several top-rated restaurants

- The only downside.we were promised a bed for our furbaby, but it never arrived to our room as promised: (

Overpriced and not worth half of what I paid. I got the “spa room”. It had a bathtub. Yay. Tiny lobby, hallways smell like a gym, housekeeping barely cleaned, valet took forever. Don’t recommend.

I want to cry. The Attention to detail given by the staff is uncompareable. My son's wedding was there this weekend, and the food, service, bartenderS were All outstanding. Everything was so beautiful, grand, and attentive that Several people including my own love talked about having their nuptials there. It's worth the out of state trip for the 10 Star service that we received.

My hotel stay was great. The only complaint I have is I might have forgotten an article of clothing in my room and I contacted the hotel by phone and by email at least a couple of days ago now and there has been no response.

The room we got smelled like smoke, and when I went to ask for another room, the lady working the front desk seemed annoyed and wasnt very helpful or polite about finding us another room. When she did give us a second room, it smelled like smoke as well. Not sure why this hotel says smoke free. We also got charged twice, once by Priceline which is where we booked the hotel but the hotel ALSO charged us for no reason. After several annoying back n forth emails and phone calls, we finally got the extra charge removed. So I would not recommend this hotel.

This is a great location if you want to walk 15 minutes to PNC park. The rooms are quiet. The restaurant has a brunch on the weekends that is delicious. Went to the Pink concert 8/5/23

I had an excellent stay here. Comfy beds, good service, cool aesthetic. However, no coffee machines in the rooms, you have to request one.

Our stay at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh was absolutely outstanding! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional customer service that set the tone for a wonderful experience.

Whether it was providing recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, or catering to our furry friend, they were there, well informed and ready to help in anyway they could.

Speaking of our pup, I must commend the hotel for being incredibly pet-friendly. They not only welcomed our new addition with open arms but also provided amenities and services catering to pets. It was heartwarming to see the staff genuinely interact with our four-legged companion and make our stay special for all of us.

I would like to express my gratitude to two outstanding individuals, Matt and Tatiana, who truly went above and beyond during our stay. Matt's attentiveness and knowledge about the local area were invaluable. He effortlessly guided us to the best restaurants and attractions, ensuring that we had a memorable time exploring Pittsburgh. Tatiana's warmth and genuine care for our pet, made us feel like part of the Kimpton family.

The staff goes above and beyond, the location is prime, this was the best hotel experience I have ever had

This hotel was the best! Everything was stellar - the service, the room, the location were all 5 stars. We will certainly be back. Every person on staff that we spoke to went above and beyond on an extremely busy weekend in the city. The room decor was so funky and fun, and everything was extremely clean. Location was perfect - you could walk to all the restaurants downtown easily, all the strip restaurants were pretty close, and the tourist sites and events were walkable too. Will definitely be recommending this hotel to anyone I know visiting Pittsburgh!

Room was stylish and clean. Pillows were great. Typically they are flat but you are given a large selection.
