Kings Gap Environmental Education Center reviews
13Love all the programs they put on year round. It's an amazing state park for young or old adventures. There are many trails to take, all ranging in different difficulties. Hiking, biking, wetlands, streams, mountains, views, plants, animals, and fresh air are what you'll find.
It was beautiful. The views from the mansion balcony are stunning! We definetly plan to go back and tour once the mansion opens. They have some of everything, flowers, herb gardens, and walking trails. Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed and you must clean up after them. They also have some concerts and a host of activities planned for the summer that seem exciting and are for every member of your family.
Reminded me of a State Game Land in Potter County. Beautiful drive from entrance to DCNR Visitors Center. Switchbacks with rhododendron and conifers everywhere. It must have been 8 minutes just driving to the pinnacle but I wasn't in a hurry either. Marvelous vistas.
It was a awesome time beautiful place! My ride up the hill wasn't as fast when I was 30 lololol.
Spectacular spot for a great view! It has plenty of parking and tables for a nice picnic!
Espectacular lugar para una gran vista! Tiene mucho espacio de estacionamiento y mesas para un buen picnic!
Such a great resource right here in our backyard. Try to take advantage of it when you can.
This is an awesome place! The view from the Environmental Center of the valley is awesome! I love this place!
Worth a stop for the view! Mansion tours were going on when we stopped (Sunday 12-4). The garden is beautiful when the flowers are blooming. A great picnic spot!
A great family place from self-guided garden tours to hiking trails to festivals with Celtic music and a short walk to the mansion.
One of my favorite state parks. Trails are well marked and make for a great hike with some beautiful views.
It was a beautiful ride into the area on our motorcycles. The view from the mansion porch was spectacular and the garden was beautiful to explore.
Kings Gap State Park is basically an 'environmental education center' that has all sorts of flowers, vegitation, flora & fauna of the south central pennsylvania region.there is a frog pond also, it has abundant marine & insect life. Great for an afternoon walk or hike, it really can help escape from daily grind. There is a mansion that has a self-guided tour too, it was a 100 year old home of the original owner, if you go out on the back deck it has some great views of the valley.over 1400 acres of land on the mountain!
I went there early june. We saw some of them big tadpoles that turn into huge frogs, a couple of snakes, a dragonfly landed on my hand, and saw some of what I think were mudpuppies.
