I recently had the incredible opportunity to extern at Knight's Medical Associates, and I must say it was an unforgettable and enriching experience. Dr. Umar Farooq, the head of the practice, proved to be an outstanding mentor, and the professionalism exhibited by his staff and the patient demographic made this externship truly exceptional.

From the moment I stepped into the office, I felt welcomed by the warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff at Knight's Medical Associates was not only professional but also genuinely caring and supportive. They went above and beyond to ensure that both patients and externs felt comfortable and valued throughout their interactions. This nurturing environment allowed me to quickly integrate into the team and provided an excellent foundation for my learning experience.

Dr. Umar Farooq, without a doubt, is the backbone of this outstanding medical practice. As a mentor, he possesses a unique blend of vast medical knowledge, patience, and a strong desire to see his externs succeed. From day one, he took a personal interest in my learning goals and tailored the externship to meet my specific needs. Dr. Farooq is an excellent communicator and made complex medical concepts easily understandable. His approachable nature encouraged questions, allowing me to clarify doubts and gain insights into various medical cases.

Nurse Practitioner Soumya Alex played a pivotal role in my learning journey during my time at Knight's Medical Associates. With her wealth of experience and expertise, she served as a valuable mentor and guide. Soumya's approachable and patient demeanor made it easy for me to seek guidance and ask questions, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment. She willingly shared her knowledge, providing valuable insights into patient care, diagnostic approaches, and treatment plans.

Worst customer ever, My mother in law waited for her Blood pressure medication for a month, the medication company called this office many times, if something happens to her its because of knights medical center, i will sue them, also dr farooq kmows nothing about how his staff treats patients.

Best place! Love the staff. Everyone is super polite and helpful. And Dr. Farooq is beyond brilliant!

It was a valuable learning experience. The location boasts a diverse population, encompassing both patients and staff. Dr. Farooq and NP Sowmya skillfully combined learning and patient care, making the experience enjoyable.

I only spoke to someone over the phone to see if they take my insurance and the lady was so rude!

Without Jehovah God and Doctor Farooq's diligent Physician work, I would not be alive today. He's very thorough and care about his patients. Jehovah God sent me to him, and today I have a second chance in life. I can't write everything here, all I can say is that Dr Farooq is one of the Best Doctor's I have ever met.

2022: When I called to schedule my appt I specifically told the woman it was to follow up after a motor vehicle accident. At the office, during the appointment I was brusquely told that they don't "get involved in car accidents due to the liability". So they completely wasted my time and sent me away despite being in a great deal of pain. Terrible.

***UPDATE 2023***

Yet again another terrible experience with Farooq. Waited an hour in the exam room for the extern who herself had several issues with their computer system. The extern was great, caring and patient but the Doctor flat out treated me like I was an inconvenience, like he was in a huge hurry, dismissed my questions and entirely ignored other concerns. He really seemed like he was under the influence of stimulants. He was moving and talking so fast and completely unable to focus. I'm going to find a different doctor who actually takes time and seems to care at all about their patients. Two thumbs down for Dr. Farooq.

I would give zero star if I could. I don’t know where to start but they charged me copay saying it is deductible. For 4 months to hear back on my refund but nothing. They want me to keep calling them despite my insurance send them information twice. After all this they want me to follow up in another two weeks and burn my gas to pick up CASH. The billing guy Ben called me multiple times saying different things at all calls and finally I hear that I won’t get my refund for copay for routine check up/annual check up. They charge people for annual check up for first visit. That’s the end story they came up with. Also, on my second visit despite giving pharmacy information, they had wrong information in the system and I kept visiting my pharmacy multiple times. Dr Umar Farooq wrote me a cough syrup saying that it’s usual with the weather and I just have to take the syrup and I will feel better.
