Knockbox Cafe reviews
17So much ample seating outside. They also have indoor seating. Love that they have a frequent flyer punch card, I feel valued as a customer with those. I had a breakfast sandwich was super healthy & a large latte, made perfectly to me liking.
Cute little spot with a homey vibe and really friendly people. A lot of their pastries are vegan. Really yummy matcha too:)
Turkey sausage breakfast sandwich (with pesto) absolutely made my day. Excellent coffee and atmosphere, great, friendly, and expedient service.
This is a great little neighborhood coffeehouse. Some food offerings. Plenty of vegan options. I like that they use the English muffin type bread instead of bagel type bread as it is softer and definitely better for sandwiches. The dark roast coffee is really good. There are only 3-5 table for 2s inside all piled next to each other, but there is outside seating as well. I don't think the city allows dogs to go inside any longer but are welcome in the outside seating. Definitely will be back a lot.
I am giving them a two-star review instead of a one because the staff are exceptional in all ways possible. The low rating is because here we are in a very hipster area where people act like they care about the environment. Yet, this coffee shop fails in two ways: 1. It doesn’t even have prices on the wall, which is ridiculous. You literally pay extra for onions and everything else on an item. 2. It is horrible from an environmental standpoint. Everything has to be thrown away. There are no cups other than those that go in the trash. It is seriously ridiculous and all the people who go there that think they are so hip and care about the environment. If you cared you wouldn’t go there anymore!
Fantastic cafe! Great service, great selection, and the outdoor seating area is One of the best in the city! It isn't huge, but so well setup
Knockbox really needs to do something about the loud, disrupting man who sits outside and solicitates customers for "extra change. " He can be heard from blocks away.
Otherwise, a lovely local place to grab coffee and staff have always been friendly!
Nice place! Coffee and food are generally pretty solid, but it does take really long for food, even when there isn't much of a line. They usually have a good amount of outdoor seating for patrons, with a cute little patio. Has wifi.
It's a small cute cafe perfect for early morning brunch. The coffee and food both taste great, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. It can get crowded at peak hours though.
Love this cozy, hip coffee shop. Always feel creative when I come here. Also I love their oat milk option. The staff is always friendly too. One of the best options in Spruce Hill!
Not a neighborhood fella, but do pass by occasionally. Great food, consistent delivery _ Staff and clientele are super-friendly, and make me feel like I'm a part of their world. Not an outsider _ Here's what I get. Not sure of the exact item but it sure does eat good _ jim s.
One of my favourite cafe around the area. The turkey sausage sandwich and everything bagel are our go-to. I love how they offers different roasted coffee as well, talk about options! Tried their house blend (dark roast), single origin (medium roast), spiced coffee, soy latte and oat milk latte, all were amazing, highly recommended!
Staff is so kind and helpful and everything I’ve ever ordered has been amazing from the coffee to the sandwiches. Wonderful cafe!
Best cafe in West Philly. Staff is great and they know exactly how to prepare a great coffee in any variation. Vibe is chill and well worth checking out.
The food is great but one must brave a wall of incredible rudeness to enjoy it.and if the barista decides to punish you for…existing and “bothering” her with an order, you can expect food that’s underwhelming.in all fairness there is one barista that is consistently rude and the others are nice.the rude on seems to have the others afraid of her so idk if she’s the manager or what.but if i have to be snapped at while simply placing an order again i will never be back.she may have a vendetta against trans ppl as i am trans and several other customers i watched her snap at are as well.or maybe not.maybe she’s just as rude to everyone.i REALLY wish they wore name tags so i could specify which barista she is.incredibly demeaning and belittling.i am beyond disgusted and would welcome an indication that her behavior is specifically against my trans ness as grounds for litigation
I feel like my rating is the average of many years of having this be the nearest cafe, with the best hours to fit my schedule. Have I occasionally gotten a latte with grounds in it? Yes. Did I once get a salmon sandwich with a shred of plastic wrap embedded in the cream cheese? Yes. Are the lines ungodly long if you make the mistake of going there on a weekend morning? Also yes. But am I totally willing to forgive all this because of all the times it's been there for me on a quiet afternoon on my way home from work? Definitely. Even on off days, their coffee is pretty good; the beans they have for sale are consistently incredible; 99% of the time the staff are super warm and friendly; the zucchini bread and banana bread are usually spectacular (again, every once in a while you'll get a dry piece, but if you have a drink to wash it down, it's still fine). It's not the place I'd recommend if you're from out of town and only have time to visit one coffee spot. But for a neighborhood mainstay, it's hard not to love.
