LA Fitness, West Chester PA

The place has just changed names but it is the same parent company. So not much has changed. They have all the gear you need and a lap pool. Showers and bathrooms are still filthy.

I was new to the area and came to check out the gym. I escaped with my life after 30-45 minutes of telling them I wasn't signing up that day.

After a couple months here I can confidently say that this is the worst gym I have ever been a member of. There are fewer barbells than spots for barbells, so even if there’s an open bench or squat rack, good luck finding a bar. There’s also a serious shortage of clips. The facility is generally dirty, equipment is broken for long periods of time, and if you work out post-work, expect your workout to take double the time waiting for equipment. I’ve NEVER been to a gym this crowded.

While I’ve seen a lot of gripes about people not wearing masks, my bigger concern is none of the water fountains/water bottle fill stations are open, which seems.dangerous? So if you’re visiting during Covid, be sure to bring water!

Equipment gets a “Scheduled for Service” tag and never gets serviced. 3 Flat benches have been broken and unusable going on 6 months now. For a place that’s always full, they can afford to keep the equipment in service.

One of my favorite LA FITNESS PHL. Clean, water from the drinking fountain doesn't taste like chlorine, staff greets you with a smile at the door, machines all work, weights are in the right place and it's lit up bright.

While I appreciate those staff members willing to open the gym on thanksgiving, I am shocked by the lack of courtesy by the female staff member who came into the men’s locker room unannounced, barking that we all had to be out in 5 minutes, even coming into the restroom and interrupting me personally while I was doing my business to tell me I had to leave.

Easy to find everything here, I found the staff to be friendly but not pushy. No one gave me unsolicited advice.

Great staff, High Quality equipment, the classes are fun I like going a few times a month. Overall this LA Fitness is a great environment, management has been doing an excellent job here! Keep it up!

Don't be scared, everyone is so nice, but interaction is totally optional. I love all the classes. Try something new and you'll feel great!

Always charge me more and don’t let me cancel over the phone even though I’ve moved to a different location!

A fan of LA Fitness. Good range of machines, equipment, nice shower/changing area, pool, and space.

Downside is their water stations are not designed to refill water bottles which is shortsighted on their part.

Great yoga classes and instructors! Good variety between instructors and by instructors from class to class. Never boring!

We went while closing Tom was so awesome and set us up right away even stayed after. He's got excellent customer service skills and was extremely patient with all of our questions.way to go Tom keep up with your great customer service skills. Tina and Jose

Timings needs to be changed. Especially on Friday, Sat and Sun. On weekends its open only till 8pm. I used to go to anytime fitness where its open 24hours. LA should be open at least till 11pm everyday. Totally disappointed with timings.

Great pickup basketball and awesome facilities, great weight room, and helpful staff. Ive been going for a few months a really enjoying it. Mark was very helpful getting us started up.

Overall an amazing gym, the assistant general manager Mark is very helpful with any needs that you may have. The gym may not be 24/7 but it does have many useful features including showers, a sauna, and a pool. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone!

Gym is clean and big. Love that they have racquetball. Bathrooms and shower facilities could use a facelift but overall it is a nice place to work out

Very awesome experience so far at LA Fitness’ West Chester location. I always enjoy the quality of the machines as well as the quality of the staff. Above and beyond my expectations!

This facility is great everyone is absolutely nice and go out of there way to help you and also have a basketball court if anyone needs help i reccomend mark peters the assistant general magager. 6 out of 5 stars
