Had a luncheon buffet with a car club function. The food was very good. The cheesecake and cannolis were great. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive.

Just finished diner here. Loved the roasted artichoke. Fairly extensive wine list. Yummy deserts.

We had a few family events here. And the service had been amazing. Food is very good too. I don't live near here so it's not somewhere I'd go in a regular basis. But I highly recommend them.

Excellent food and service. A true 5 star experience. Noah, our waiter, went above and beyond all night. The onion soup was the best I’ve had and the Timballo Di Teramo was filling and delicious. The food came out quickly and the atmosphere was perfect for dining, with some nice music in the background. I will certainly be back.

La Isla Restaurant in Hoboken, NJ is simply a vibe. The breakfast menu is broad yet simple enough to cater for all. The coffee and breakfast omelette was A TU MANERA (fluffy egg omelette, home fries and toast - your choice of three fillings spinach - tomato - onion mushroom - sweet plantain swiss - american gives you a taste of Cuba. Health clean and delicious. Enough seating both inside and outside with a nice view of Washington St.

It was my first time at the establishment. The service and the staff were excellent. The food was exquisite. Made Father's day complete. I will be returning soon.

Been going to LaLocanda for years and this was my first disappointing experience and my best friend was treating me for my birthday. We had a 5pm reservation, got there at 4: 45 and all but one table was empty. The hostess took us to a table and at seating said she needed the table by 7pm. No idea why she gave us that one if there was a time limit. Usually you are given a nice basket of fresh bread and dipping oil. Our basket had some random pieces of bread thrown in it which were dry and we had to request some oil. (Our waiter was excellent and very attentive). Then as we had our coffee at 6: 15 the hostess came again to tell us now she needed the table at 6: 30. We just paid and left. My friend wanted to talk to the manager but by that time they were so busy I convinced her to just leave. It was a very strange experience for what used to be a special place to go.

The food was good. The service was excellent. It is way too dark to eat the food. That's my only complaint.

Excellent service from all waiting staff but many dishes were of olive garden mediocrity.

A notable exception was the calamari, crisp, light & tender.

The service (while staff was nice) was negligent at best. We waited 45 minutes for someone to come check in after the meal, and while there was another large party, the staff’s timing and attention to detail simply doesn’t exist. Don’t come here if you’re in a time crunch or want fresh food, the calimari came from the freezer and the seafood was over cooked and rubbery. Teca is up the street - save your money & go there instead. More authentic food with better quality and service at better prices.

Top notch service with delicious food to match. The front of house is engaging and makes you feel like you are home. The guy always includes our kids when talking to us. So very sweet. Scrippelles are a must. Tonight I had the squid ink pasta (after scrippelles) which was phenomenal. My husband had the veal and eggplant and said it was exceptional. The pizza is a go to for the kids when they don’t want pasta. I look forward to our next visit.

We hosted Episcopal Academy's wrestling banquet for 50+ guests here yesterday and it couldn't have gone any better! Everyone raved about the food. Massimo was so welcoming and accommodating. And the food was so delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you!

Really very good.
I booked a reservation thru Resy and made a note that I requested a table near the fireplace - they actually read the note (not all restaurants do) and accommodated my request without making any fuss or saying anything. Kudos.
Service by Ibrahim was exemplary. He’s a professional - funny, attentive, knowledgeable on the menu, quick…everything you want in a server. The restaurant is lucky to have him on their team.
My guest and I had the arugula salad (10 out of 10), Screpelle Soup (8/10 - it was first served barely lukewarm; I told one of the food runners/servers…he thanked me for telling him, apologized, and scurried off to heat up the soup - once it returned it was PERFECT…I’ll be dreaming about that soup for a while).
Bread basket was ok. At first, only very small end pieces of crusty Italian bread…but we asked for more and they delivered. GOOD olive oil and cheese for the bread.
Entrees: chicken massimo (wow - 10 out of 10), and chicken saltimbocca (8 out of 10 - lacked flavor; I would have liked more prosciutto for salt, and the sauce could have used something to kick it up a bit; maybe a squeeze of lemon, I don’t know, but it was somewhat flat).
We were too full for dessert.
The place was packed on this Sunday evening, and for good reason. Happy to support this local, small business with owners who are hands on.
Download Resy and make reservations - you’ll need them.
