Lake Raystown Resort reviews
15Cute little trailer tiny homes. Air system needs a deep cleaning though. Other than that it was a nice place to stay.
The signage is very poor and lighting is practically non-existentent. But the place itself is very beautiful, especially the water and beautiful trees.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception on the Proud Mary Showboat. It was a wonderful experience. The food and service was amazing. Kristen and Chelsea did an amazing job planning our special day from beginning to end. It was perfect! Thank you so much!
Very nice villas! Wish there was a stackable washer and dryer. Had a great time even though it rained all week.
Food was served cold tasted horrible. Seafood buffet that did not consist of crab legs or shrimp, just Cod and crab cakes. Not worth the money!
In serious need of entertainment And a menu reboots for the cafe No food selection. For a resort Up that food a bit. Geez
Been coming here for probably 45 years. Great memories Here as a child and I'm getting married here in 2023. Couldn't think of a better place!
Hard for me to rate Raystown, I've lived here for about 25 yrs.now. As a vscation destination you need to understand theres not alot to do away from the lake. If you love fihing, boating, camping and hiking. You will enjoy yourself. If your looking for a large selection of restaurants, shoppes, nightlife or shopping. You will most likely be disappointed. Raystown has prided itself in keeping the lakes surrounding area as naturally pristine as possible.
We always have a great time at Raystown and did this time as well! However we decided to rent the Pine Cabins at the resort this time. I couldn't find any pictures, so I requested some and got one. I know now why, if I seen more pictures I would have made a choice and went with a different location. I get it's not luxury living but for what we paid per night ($138.00 a night, we got 2 cabins between the family so $1500 for 5 days) we could have went with something else/nicer. The beds were very hard and made alot of noise, as they were on plywood and a 3in pad. There was black duct tape that covered holes where sunlight was coming in or foam put between the seems. Our cabin #13 had a dip in the middle making you feel like you were going down then up a small hill. The AC was to small for the area. The toilets are not made for bigger people as they are very small. I personally won't rent those again.
To edit my review.there's also not lighting above the stove or nightlight so if you have small children make sure to bring some with you as it's pitch black at night in the cabins.
We took a tour with Kristen and got lucky enough to take one with Dan for the conference center for our wedding in October of 2024 they both were wonderful very knowledgeable Kristen had a weeding about to happen some time after our tour but she showed no signs of stress she didn't try to rush us answered any questions we had we have definitely picked the resort for our venue
We rented a pavilion and volleyball area beside the water park for the 4th of july, it was great only complaint I have is the grilling area. I'll just say bring lots of Charcoal if you plan on using it because the stores are about 25 mins from the lake. The water park was decent it had a pool an two water slides as well as a spray park area.
Very beautiful resort. Very relaxing outdoorsy feel. Beautiful community of people who are friendly and inviting. Lots of things to do at your finger tips with the right people and imagination of fun you will probably never want to leave here.
Went there for lunch, food was delicious, didn't wait real long, the deck gives awesome views of the marina and lake. The staff was excellent and attentive.
Always a great day at the lake so many different places to go to hike or swim or just to have a picnic.
We held our wedding at Lake Raystown Resort, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Dan and Jenn were both incredibly helpful, informative, and patient both before we booked the wedding, during preparations for the event, and, of course, during the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and brunch the day after. The food was delicious, and many of our guests commented on what a great time they had and what a great venue it was.
The day of our wedding, Dan and Jenn were very attentive - delivering food to us from the cocktail hour while we prepared for photos, having our choice of drinks delivered to the sweetheart table before dinner, making sure we were able to choose our snacks from the dessert table before it was announced to everyone, and so much more.
All of the staff were incredibly kind, and you could tell that they enjoy working together. Dan and Jenn were there early in the morning and late into the night helping with set up, clean up, tending bar - wherever they were needed. They were very communicative, and kept us up to date with any changes/requirements. They were also very flexible, allowing us to alter how things were commonly done so that we could make the ceremony and reception unique to us.
We would definitely recommend this venue for anyone looking for a great place to get married.
