Absolutely delightful campground. It is meticulously maintained. Trees and grass are beautiful. Asphalt pads are level. Biking is great. Host is welcoming, helpful, and a good storyteller. Sweet little campground.

Very neat and quiet campground. Bathhouse is very clean. Our camp host was John and he was very kind and helpful. I felt safe staying here. I did not have a large panoramic view of the lake but that is fine because I rode my bicycle to a fishing pier just outside the campground.

I love the fact that they had only 42 sites. Sometimes too many ppl and all the space take away from the quiet time and real R&R experience that everyone needs! This place definitely has no real noise issues due to other campers and everyone was VERY friendly! There were places to walk to that really take in the night lighting from the Harvest Moon and the next few nights after! BEAUTIFUL! My only complaint was just the hot water level for the facility restrooms. Taking a shower there was just a lil cold. Not inside, but the shower temperature inside itself. I know we camped there towards the end of the season, which is why I looked forward to a nice HOT shower in the mornings. But was alil disappointed ️. Just b ready for cold/ luke-warm showers. All in all, our visit was GREAT and will most definitely b camping there again in our RV future! Thanks for a great stay!

Some of the cleanest restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms I have ever seen at a campground. Not much for privacy. Close to fishing pier. You get to see a lot of boats. Worth staying here if you like to vacation at presque isle.

Nice campground, close to Presque Isle, and downtown Erie. Would be a 5 star, but I sewage hook ups, you have to use the dump station.

Lampe is a great campground. VERY clean facilities and the hosts are very helpful. Level sites and laid out evenly for easy set up. Fantastic views of the lake, we have been staying at Lampe for 10 years and keep returning.

Very quiet, friendly place with some nice scenery that has that secluded feel without being too far away. We really like it there

Very nicely maintained RV campground. We typically aim for more private wooded camping, but this one was right next to the South Pier fishing trail, so we stayed one night. Friendly people and the most pristine bathhouse I've ever seen at a campground. Sites a little closer together than we prefer, but with a nice grassy "lawn" between them. I suspect most RVers would think the spacing was fine. No shade to speak of, but there are some young trees, so in ten years that might change.

We opted for a site on the strip close to the water, but there really aren't any water views. There is a tall hedge of sumac and marsh grass against the fence. However, there were a multitude of different birds that frequented the hedge, so we got in some good birdwatching. Warblers, Finches, cedar waxwing, blackbirds. Overhead we saw geese, herons and osprey. Birds were loud in the morning, but we like that kind of alarm clock.

Good stay. BTW, reserve ahead. Keep trying if you're trying to make a reservation and they don't get back to you. This is a busy place.

Very clean with nice spacing between each site. An easy 10 minute drive to Presque Isle and less than 5 minutes to all the interesting Harbor activities and restaurants.

Awesome views, quiet, clean, freshly mowed grass, water and electric at each site, clean bathrooms, pier within walking distance. 2 dump stations, laundry and nice people. So nice! Wish we were staying longer!

We had the best time at Lampe Campground! The grounds are beautifully kept, the bathrooms were immaculate, and the location was perfect! There is an awesome pier right outside of the campground that was fun to walk! It was a short drive to Presque Isle, which had wonderful beaches! The camp hosts, Dee and Bill, were so kind and welcoming! I would definitely recommend this campground!

Clean, up-to-date infrastructure featuring water, electric, and three well maintained dump stations. This is not a recreation park with kid-oriented entertainment. Instead, we found it a quiet retreat from the noise and crowds of Presque Isle park at day's end. Short walk proximity to Lampe marina and the concrete pier at the bay inlet. Perfect for an evening walk in what felt like a safe secure environment. Hosts Dee and Bill were great. They were very helpful in arranging last-minute site selection as we were dropping by without reservations, something we don't recommend. We lucked-out, very full summer occupancy, call the number M-F and make reservations well in advance.
