So far, my experience has been great! Everyone has been super helpful and informative, they go over and beyond to answer my questions!

I've known Rich for nearly 20 years. Professional, competent and the highest degree of integrity.
I've fumbled the ball too many times and have been lax in completing my tasks for a number of inexcusable reasons. I need to get back on track and that's going to take a face-to-face meeting to catch up.

We hired this company to file our taxes this year. We were quoted a price that seemed like a premium price, and I expected premium service, so we went ahead and had them complete our taxes. There were numerous issues with our experience, and I understand if not everything is always perfect as we are all human and are not always perfect, but I was very disappointed with the fact that these issues were large problems and I was charged much more than initially quoted regardless.

Several significant issues were as follows. The tax preparer informed me incorrectly about tax filing related to rental property repairs, so I agreed to a call from a superior to make sure taxes were being filed correctly. I talked with the superior and this individual confirmed my concern was correct and explained how repairs are filed, etc. (Which confirmed my understanding was correct). They filed the repairs as discussed with superior. I found, when taxes were complete, they added about 45% to my bill for this call, which I only agreed to for making sure I would receive tax benefit for repairs made to the property.
Later, when taxes were completed and claimed to be ready to file, I looked over the form and found a mistake that would have cost me about $1,000. I contacted them and asked them to fix this problem, which they did.

After I received a finalized bill, I called about my concern with these and other problems. Mr. Landis stated that he feels they gave me the value they charged me for and will stick with the original bill, and If I didn't think they gave me that value that I should pay what I think it's worth. Whether or not I pay the full amount, I am very concerned that they feel they gave me premium service at a premium and increased price. There seemed to be insufficient concern with the issues as evidenced by the fact they felt they should stick with the approximately 45% increase on top of an already premium price for what ended up being less than premium services.

Edit: The refiling of previous year's taxes was already planned and was also a separate issue. On the call, I asked about cost for them to refile for that separate issue, but that was not what the call was about.

Had taxes completed by this firm and my wife who has in depth tax knowledge challenged their calculations of us owing the IRS almost $20K and in the end after her involvement we only owed roughly $4K. They quoted us $1400 to do out taxes and socked us with a bill of over $3500. Real you in and then over charge. Be cautious when using this firm. Not pleased at all with the overcharging of services and they charged us as if they did our taxes 2 times when the revisions were minor to ensure our liability was much less than they initally calculated. They should be paying my wife an hourly rate for correcting them. In addtion, their Lisco system is horrific.

My husband and I hired Landis to complete our Federal and State tax return. We reached out to this firm in a timely manner and submitted all required information, via their portal, by early March 2023, yet we were still required to file for a tax extension.
Next, our State Tax bill was debited from our account twice. When we reached out to Landis, we were told that they had diligently looked into the reason for the duplicate payment but could not find the reason. When we tried to reach out to them for some alternate explanations, this was an excerpt from the scathing email response we received: "I understand that this is a troubling situation, but it seems that you are very committed to making this our fault. We have taken this situation very seriously, investigated it thoroughly, and have proven that this was not a mistake that originated from us. We are confident that the error did not originate from our people or our computer system. There is no possibility that we could have filed it twice. We have issued you a credit to try to help you out and we care about the outcome, but we cannot take responsibility for an error that we did not create. I'm not sure what more we can offer you to assure you of this. "
We still have no answers and am appalled by the unprofessional and insulting way that our situation was handled. DO NOT RECOMMEND and we have yet to receive our final bill for their sub-par services.

Is to slow to do the tax return, take for ever and they should do the tax in person also to expensive

It's always great to talk to Rich (the owner) on the phone. He is extremely knowledgable and uses the latest technology to make accounting easier. Jake did an excellent job at preparing our taxes and was always prompt at responding to our questions. We told him we were refinancing and needed last year's return asap- and he delivered!
