Latao Hotpot and BBQ, Philadelphia PA

I try to make this a go to when I am visiting Philadelphia. Love the food, the atmosphere, and the friendly staff.

No refills, but the meat comes out late~ I can't hear the Chinese song because it's too loud~

Great for groups of 4-6. The long tables seat 8, theoretically, but to enjoy hotpot or bbq, some elbow room is nice. Variety pretty wide. Music two notches too high. Hazy steamy vibe reminds me of sauna or hot spring and everyone looks younger in throught the haze, just don’t wear cashmere or wool, unless you enjoy the lasting aroma soaked in your sweater. Drinks not included in the all you can eat price. On the pricy side, esp if you are not into the weirder stuff on the menu (offal, tongue, ear, which I personally like). For the more regular fare, there are hotpot buffets of better value in this wonderful town of Philly.

Per head Sunday lunch price for hotpot/bbq combo table is 32.95, before tax and tip.

Had a great meal until my sister stepped outside I attempted to go check on her an staff asked for my purse I told your stuff no they put they hands on an called the police soo did I as well an for a follow up I will be asking for the employees names who attacked an surrounded me I am also following up with a police report that’s unacceptable I did touch your staff I shouldn’t have been touched or surrounded I don’t recommend too nobody else staff was unprofessional I wasn’t ignorant or rude til the staff did what they did to me it was no reason for me to be touched or for my purse too be asked to be kept

It was my second time there and I had a wonderful experience and time great service and delicious food

The food was excellent and so was the service. Tried the Korean BBQ and the hot pot. Both were well worth it.

Place to eat hotpot and Korean barbecue. They have a fixed price (all you can eat), for both. You can choose different broths (with different levels of spiciness) and then from many vegetables, meats and fish/seafood. There were 4 of us and we had 2 drinks each and paid $49 per person. If you go at rush hour it is usually full and reservations are not accepted

I like their sesame sauce, it is very tasty. Food is good, didn’t have a chance to get hot pot, I might come back.

I came here twice, and each time I wanted to order the Duo pot or the 3-piece pot, but they said they didn't have it! Why can't we order it when 2 people come to eat? I'm so surprised! I saw that another table for two people also had a Duo pot, what's the matter? ! Look down on people! You can order whatever you want for a table of 4-6 people, but there is a consumption limit for 2 people? Then could you please write down the minimum consumption for the two-pot and three-pot combo on the menu? ! The cost of a meal is 80-100 yuan, and we don’t even get a pot. If we hadn’t come to the city center to see an exhibition and then go to Chinatown to eat, parking was inconvenient. We queued at the door and waited until we were seated. After looking at the menu for a long time, we didn’t even pour a glass of water! If a store like this opened in Shanghai, no one would go there! Never come again! What are the rules for opening a store with a bad appearance?

Max seating per table is 8 people. Place needs way better ventilation, super stuffy and warm inside. AYCE.

We had a great time dining here BBQ and HotPot. The meat cut are great for BBQ or hotpot. Easy to chew and delicious. The ingredients are fresh. Variety of drink to choose from. They offer many sauce option too.

Waiter, waitress need to pay more attention to each table. We have to wave a few times.

Overall I highly recommend this place.

Delicious food, very courteous staff, service is quite quick. All you can eat for $30 with good quality. 10% discount if you pay cash, which I thought was really quirky.

Enjoyed the broth choices, seasoning and sauces. The menu is robust with something for everyone. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AMAZING! Very friendly and FAST. We traveled all the way from Delaware and would do it again!

Delicious food yet occasionally bad service and kind of expensive (probably standard prices for hotpot)
