20 NOBODY LIKES THE DMV.but I can offer a suggestion to make it better:
My DL was stolen/lost, instead of making folks fill out paperwork, b/c OUR PHOTOS AND INFORMATION IS IN THE SYSTEM.there should be a line SPECIFICALLY FOR QUICK FIXES, INSTEAD OF MAKING FOLKS LIKE ME WAIT FOR DAMN NEAR 45 min! A simple fix should have less people waiting, as well as if you're coming in just to RENEW YOUR LICENSE. NO PAPERWORK, ALL U SHOULD BE ASKED IF U WANNA TAKE A NEW PICTURE ANNNNND PAPERWORK SHOULD ONLY BE NECESSARY IF YOUR ADDRESS OR NAME HAS CHANGED AND EVEN THEN, SOME KEYSTROKES SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIX THE SITUATION. EASY SOLUTION ISN'T IT?
Or maybe the DMV ADMINISTRATION LIKES IT THIS WAY, WHICH WOULD BE SAD B/C UPDATING TO MY STREAMLINED PROCESS WOULD MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY, AND LESS STRESSFUL. THINK ABOUT IT. THANK YOU
If you go early in the morning and have all documents you need it will be easier for you and them to work with you.i have great experience nice staff and security
Not too bad of a wait if you already have your photo card ready. Just walk right in and BAM! You're done
Got in early, no long lines, 3 actively working assistants. Taking pictures and giving ID out quickly. The 2 cashiers at the front working diligently also. Clean and directions were clearly posted. No problem here, see them in another 4 years or so.
One of the worst places to go in Philly unless you or taken someone else and want to take a nice 3 hour nap because you are out partying all night
Although is was a very long line when it opened, the line moved very fast. I was in and out with 10 minutes once inside.
This location is deceptively organized. This DMV is located inside a strip mall nearby an Advanced Auto Parts and Shop Rite. There is usually a line for entry into the building for driver services. When going for a driver test, proceed to the area located in the rear of the parking lot. Continue along the rear of the lot you will see a blue sign that says 'driver test, no practicing Wed-Sat. '
The line for drivers test starts there. The exam starts with parallel parking. It takes less than 10 mins for the 'road' test. The ladies there are kind and helpful. They deal with a lot of people in all types of moods. Be different and recognize they work hard and treat them accordingly.
They should increase their staffs. There were only four staffs working there while there were 12 work stations. It is not fun that we are standing outside in severe cold for two hours and then one more hour sitting inside waiting to get service.
If u get there at 7am! You'll be fine In and out they open at 830am just gotta wait 1hr1/2 but its better then waiting in the line for 2 to 3 hrs to get something done 1st come 1st serve.if not then use the app and make an appointment online u get lime 15mns to be there ruffly.
Long lines for full process. Register and process your license online to avoid delays. Those of us with photo cards were in and out in ten min.
I went there yesterday and people were all around the corner I left. I cant stand that long.
Worst dmv I have ever been to. Everyone is so slow, little care for anyone’s time. I understand most dmvs take forever but this one was just unbelievably slow! Do not come here. Also, there were some interesting characters here that I never want to encounter in my life again.
Workers are friendly, very detail with questions when asked and responded in a professional manner, and guided us to our destination. The center is well organized.
If you are just getting your picture taken for your license renewal you will have very little wait. Took maybe 15 minutes for me to get my new license. There are two separate lines, the main line for the actual PennDot and another just for license photos. Don't wait in the main line if you have your camera card.
However if you were doing all other DMV stuff you are looking at an hour or more wait in line plus however much time it takes inside. If you are doing other PennDOT stuff you need to arrive at this location very early. I arrived an hour before they opened up and there was already 40+ people in line, so keep that in mind.
Was great I was in and out and the person that helped me was great too it's good to see that they helping the disabled people with a job
Considering the times we're living in, get there early, get out. The security guards are knowledgeable, more than I can say for the sheriff's deputies at family court
I took my driver's test today. I passed but best thing to do is get there early, know your stuff and you'll pass. It was super easy and I had a good examiner!
It's convenient if u live in the northeast of Philadelphia but it's extremely crowded in the morning the best time to come is after 1pm
The staff were so professional and gave clear instructions. You need to know what do you need prepare your papers and try line up early morning
So glad they have that Photo Center right next door to renew my State ID/Driver's Licenses! I waited outside for almost 30 minutes, in the shade, before going in with about 10 others who were standing in line to see a PACKED PennDot. After waiting in another line inside the place for about 5 minutes, I was directed to go next door at the Notary-looking place.
I wish the guard had said something before I stood in that line outside!
