Lederach Family Medicine, Harleysville PA

I completely agree that this practice has declined drastically over the past few years. Delay of orders/lost prescriptions/loss of records/obviously outdated processes. Complete lack of empathy and professionalism. I left after 15 years and they couldn’t have cared less; not even a “sorry we are no longer a fit” or “what could we do to improve other patient experiences in the future”. I wasn’t going to post a review out of respect for them, but after realizing others have had this experience and knowing they aren’t interested in improving, I wanted to save others the aggravation because ones health is worth more than this It’s basically a copay mill at this point.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM THIS PCP! They have declined SO drastically in the last 10 years. Has anyone else had this issue?

I started going to this practice about 4 years ago. I saw the PA Jason. I had some concerns that needed to be addressed. Come to find out Jason is no longer there and I was set up with the new PA. She was 20 min late to the appointment online then didn’t address 2 of my issues. Then decided to tell me she had a patient waiting and had to go. I am not one to put reviews but this was just simply unprofessional. I decided it was time for me to move on from this practice. If you show up late then rush me while I’m telling you what’s going on and do not address my other issues at all is unprofessional and rude.

They only have one Doctor on staff and she is currently scheduling new appointments 8 months out. If you don't mind only seeing PA's (which are Physician Assistants, not Dr's) then you shouldn't have a problem. But I'm disabled and on way too many medications to not see a Doctor. Dr. Szewczak, apparently has another obligation which keeps her away from the office most days of the week. Never heard of a practice that does not have any full time Doctors on staff!

PA Dr. Jason Sammartino, has to be probably the best primary care physician, I ever had. He is very down to earth and cares about the needs of the patient. If you come here, I would definitely suggest working with Jason. A very knowledgeable and cool doctor to have,

Dr. Szewczak is so very warm, kind and friendly. She is a brilliant doctor and makes me comfortable in her care and the plan we make together to address mu healthcare needs. The office staff made me feel welcome

I have been seeing Dr. Suzann Szewczak for over 15 years and am more than happy with the medical care I have received! Dr. Szewczak is competent, thorough, warm and attentive. I highly recommend her and Lederach Family Medicine.

Dr. Suzanne is the epitome of Professionalism and Excellence. My Mom's been seeing her for over 20 year's. The caring of Dr. Suzanne and her patients is one I have seen only twice in my life. The Staff are warm and friendly, you truly know they care.

Pamela Herron 2 visits to the er in one week was told to follow up with family doctor blood work was not right. Called wanted me in the next day could not go had to work so i schelded for Monday at 9 am got a call appointment cancelled do not come in. Called back was told waiting for test rsults will get a call from Dr. No call by 6 i called and was told by reception reading my chart no need for appointment Dr.does not want to see me. I guess the Dr.was to busy to call and talk to me herself so i got some test results from the the person answering the phone. Sorry i think i deserve much better care will be finding a Dr.who does not mind getting on the phone and speaking to me.

Prescribed experimental medication which gave night terrors. Shannon cares to a degree, but should not be given the responsibility she has to diagnose and write prescriptions. Snobbish D. O. Go somewhere else.

Switched to Dr. Tiffani Lemen in Chalfont for many years now through Grandview. Excellent family doctor and if you have an emergency or cant get in during office hours you can go to the urgent care in their office will follow up with you. It’s nice because they can access records from her previous diagnosis of a common illness. Dr. Lemen will also message you through the portal which is really nice. She even did it on Sunday.

This was quite some time ago but had a few negative visits. The worst experience is when I was prescribed a medication to help me sleep and it wound up causing night terrors and hallucinations. It may not have been their fault but it was their dismissive attitude treating my wife and I during each visit. It was an ongoing pattern especially with Dr. S. Lederach is a short drive from my home but Dr. Lemen from Grandview Chalfont is much better who cares and gives a much more thorough diagnosis.

Ive been seeing Shannon for over 6 years, and I love her! She takes the time to go over fully my lab results and gives me a game plan until my next visit. Love the patient portal, Ive had shannon respond to me late at night! I would only see Shannon though. Ive seen the other lady doc a couple of times, not pleased. If new, you might have to wait long to see her, but all my follow up appts aren't hard to schedule.

My two daughters who are young adults, are seen by the lady doctor and the male doctor for about less than two years. I do not feel confident that they actually know how to treat your physical symptoms or issues. The nurse and the front desk personnel there are absolutely not helpful either and they make it very hard to see the doctors when really needed. So, we changed the doctors. Inconvenient and not helpful.
The facility is clean and nice though.

She's horrible. Took my son here because she was recommended by Grandview Hospital
If she DISRESPECTS all her patient s like she did us its a wonder she has any patients at all.i dismissed her after 2 visits. Switch to another Dr & the care & level of patient respect is like night & day. If yr consider her look away.

I have been going to this medical practice for several years and I couldn't be happier. The entire staff is helpful and very friendly. Dr. Szewczak provides excellent, thorough and attentive service at every visit. She makes going to the doctor a pleasant experience.

Cheryl at the front desk is very sweet and a few of the nurses are very nice but otherwise the incompetence if this practice is unbelievable! Do not go to this practice!

Also, I went in for a sinus infection and had to wait while the Dr took a call from Verizon while I waited in the room! About her service! I was in soooo much pain and needed help! And she told me “its so hard to get Verizon on the phone” ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Im in pain and sick but your service is more important! Plus watch out, they push drugs! Whatever they get samples on or the drug companies push, they push too! Just watch yourself! One time I had to wait for soo long to see the nurse practitioner and she told me that Id have to wait that long at penn medicine sooo! No no no, we need better practitioners in Harleysville! Go to Penn Medicine and wait for legit doctors! Grandview health system sucks! Go to the big health systems, they have the technology and intelligence to help you! Einstein, Temple and Penn! We deserve top notch!

By the way After their investigation (Child services) Knows they we're lied to. And we have them on recording saying the investigation was "Unfounded"And I only saw her one time. Thank God the truth will always surface!

I was under they impression she was trying to turn as many people as possible to make money with as little concern as possible. I was called in for visits for no reason, and the communication was a lot more difficult than it should have been. I am looking for a doctor who cares enough to give me a call when something is wrong instead of having thier nurses do it because thier time is too valuable.

After hurting my neck, and having new insurance, I had to switch my family doctor after 12 years. I found Lederach Family Medicine, and must say they are AWESOME! Dr. Susann Szewczak really listens, diagnoses and comes up with a plan. She is very compasionate, intelligent and friendly. I did not feel rushed, and everyone I met had a smile, and was extremely helpful. Very positive experience. Keep up the great work!
