Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway: Trademark of the Reading & Northern Railroad reviews
16Woww stuff here.they changer our ticket 2times o complain. Because i missed my train time, and when they changed my ticket and told me also once we purchase ticket we can use those ticket next 1yers, i mean ticket expiration 1 year. So no rush for train timing
A grey, rainy day to visit but a fun experience nonetheless. The platform management and boarding experience was smooth and easy. Everyone was settled in quickly and our car attendant was very knowledgeable. Seats of four are very camped for adults in Crown Class. At the midpoint our attendant said we should all get up and switch seats for the return journey which was a bit weird. It would have been nicer to have the train perform a loop instead of just the engine so that cumbersome request was eliminated. The scenic foliage tours are half the time duration than our trip.
Booked a seat on the dome car to get full experience but it was too cold with a/c and two screaming kids made it so the narrator couldn't be heard. I think the open air car would've made for a much better experience. The views in the gorge were beautiful and the staff were nice.
Nice little train ride on a historic train along the gorge. We took the "open air" car, which has no windows, just wide open sides so you can enjoy the views. The staff wears outfits in the style of the old railways. There were a variety of passengers, all ages, families with kids, dogs, etc.
I decided to go for the train with the big windows on top. The views were lovely but it was too cold with a/c & there were screaming children that made it hard to hear the announcer. I wish I would've gone with the open air car; I think I'd have enjoyed the experience much more.
This was super awesome the conductor was from Valley Forge pa it was a lot of fun big time recommend it
This place was amazing.so historic and the train ride was great.can't wait to go back in October for the changing of the leaves.
Our Family loved and very much enjoyed riding in the open air car. It was Very fun for our 7 children and my husband and loved the beautiful scenic views.
No place to park. We Searched the whole city to find a place. We missed our train. In the train if you sit on the left side, you wouldn’t see much. Mostly walls. Overall, not much to see. Overall The ticket is expensive compared to what you get.
We were there in September. Beautiful day for a train ride. While we were sitting enjoying the 70-minute ride (35 each way) we heard lots of interesting facts about area and the Lehigh Gorge. Bring your family for sure, and in a couple of weeks the trees should be in their full fall splendor.
The 70 minute train ride is a nice relaxing ride through the forest past some waterfalls and next to the river. It's beautiful and the guides tell you some of the history of places along the ride.

Family fun at reasonable prices.
The views and memories are worth a million dollars.
Train ride was nice but due to the leaves couldn't see all of the scenery. Also went on the trolley. Enjoyed the town
Relaxing train ride up and back. We booked the most expensive ticket and received our choice of elevated booths on 2 and level of train with both side and overhead windows. We brought our own snacks, wished we brought our wine and had a great trip.
Great hour long excursion. Narrated by knowledgeable conductors espousing many interesting factoids. We went on a beautiful end of summer day.
