Smoking around propane, yelling at children and rude managment are some of the things you can find at the attractions put on by this company.

You should do a better job of keeping up with your end of the agreement.
You said if we left we would get a full refund by emailing you, and we never got one. A man's word is supposed to mean something. I will give you a chance to make this right. But your wife told me personally if we left we would recieve a refund no problem. So bad carnival people or not doesn't mattet you need to honor your words for us to leave and get a refund. Stringing along for month on end is not OK. You stole money from 3 adults and a child. And made the child leave in tears.

I'm writing this as an advisory to anyone looking for a hot air ballooning experience within the area. Long story short, if no other company is available, don't go hot air ballooning. Avoid doing business with these people at all costs. They are either the least professional company I have done business with, or they just genuinely don't care about their customers. In our case, I booked a flight for my wife on her bday, a Saturday, which has some overlap with the thanksgiving holiday. Before booking, I actually called and spoke to someone (a woman, I forget her name) and I expressly asked if I could just keep the credit with them and have the option to fly at another time of our choosing if there happened to be a cancellation. I even called a second time and confirmed this with another employee just to be sure. Both people I spoke with confirmed that yes, this was the case, with no timeframe limits - this part was key - so I felt confident I could book and not lose my money because regardless of weather, I would eventually get what I paid for. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case. Following the cancellation of our flight, I actually had to call them twice and send an email to even get an acknowledgement just to inquire if the day after our original flight was open. They replied that no, it would also be too windy. So.we went on our Thanksgiving holiday thinking everything was cool, with our credit safely on the books and good for future use at a time of our choosing, with no timeouts, as I was told by both people on the phone. But now, having returned from our holiday, I get an email from them stating that our flight had been 'cancelled' with no details about a refund so I call them and left a message.zero response or acknowledgement. Then, days later, I see a partial refund to my original form of payment in the amount of $765 out of the $954 I paid for the flight. Again, zero communication, no explanation, no follow-up, just a random partial refund. Called them again to again restate that we want our flight and never indicated that we wanted anything to be cancelled. Left a message. Zero acknowledgement again or communication. So here I am.out $189 for a flight that they decided to cancel without warning or asking me and in direct contradiction to what was described to me over the phone. I would understand there being some kind of fee if we didn't show up or something while they were at the location and ready to go. But our flight got cancelled the night before- they barely lifted a finger so none of this makes any sense, especially given the fact that I have been clear that I still want my flight. The whole thing is just so insanely unprofessional. Giving the false impression that you have a friendly reschedule policy verbally but then enforcing an unfriendly one in practice is highly deceptive and wrong. That's not how you treat customers. I don't care what business you're in. Again, avoid this company at all costs. Don't let what happened to us, happen to you. You have been warned!

I had a booking for a private flight which is not cheap to at all. Flight was rescheduled 4 times due to weather understandable. Difficult to reach anyone when they are available, Not having someone on-call is terrible because my fiancé was sick and throwing up the night before because she had a sickness with having to throw up and use the bathroom and I sent an email and called and left a voicemail to Lehigh Valley Hot Air Balloon regarding's to rescheduling because someone is sick. Lost the entire flight, 1,000 dollars right into their pocket. Because they said it was a no-show call because the pilot and crew were at the site. If there was a way to speak to someone during the times, they are not available would be best but no they don't care and would rather take your money and hope you do not show up. I would not book here again, and I advise you as well not to.

My husband and I received our hot air balloon ride as a gift from our children. Truth be told, we didn't know what to expect. As it turned out, the experience was awesome! Stan, our pilot, was great! He and the chase crew worked hard together to give us a very enjoyable and memorable experience! I would definitely recommend Lehigh Valley Hot Air!

My husband and I recently had our first balloon ride with Lehigh Valley Hot Air. It was an amazing experience. The pilot, Matt, the crew and the owner, Will, were wonderful. Balloon flight is an awesome experience and LVHA was great to work with. Allow for some flexibility in scheduling as the weather needs to be very good to be able to fly.

Nowhere on the website could i find their cancellation policy. Before buying tickets, i emailed them asking if weather didnt agree, could i receive a refund? (I am from MA therefore unable to reschedule). I got an email back from them stating the following:
“ Hello, yes you are able to request a refund if the weather did not cooperate for your ride. ”
NOWHERE in this email do they mention a 15% cancellation booking fee.

Bought four tickets for my mom’s 50th birthday as a surprise (mind you, tix were almost 350$ each) Unfortunately due to weather, our ride was cancelled, which i understand. However i was surprised when i received only a fraction of what i paid. I ended up losing out on nearly $300 because of this 15% nonrefundable “booking fee”. I dont think its fair that this is not highlighted before purchasing nor was this communicated to me through email. I called them and let them know this. I was told they would reach out to the booking company to try to get a fraction of the fee or all the money back. The guy i spoke with guaranteed me he would return my phone call yet he never did.

Theres many positive reviews and im sure if you get to go, its a good experience, however it is not fair i lost out on nearly $300 for nothing. Be aware of this before booking. You end up losing out if weather does not cooperate with your ride and you do not see yourself rescheduling with them if you are not from PA

My husband had booked a flight for my birthday on 9/16/23. He booked this back in June and sadly we were canceled 40 minutes before our scheduled time ONlY AFTER we called 3x to see if we were in the right area as our GPS brought us to a church parking lot. This company has horrible customer service and were not reachable by phone until 3 days later. In fact his communication through booking procss was only email. We drove all the way from Eastern Long Island and you couldn't have the decency to give us a heads up there may be weather concerns. We were looking at very clear skies, 60° and ONLY 3mph winds. My husband was in contact a week prior to see if we were all set and if we needed to do anything else. He was told we were all set. Refund still has not been credited.
We have already been in contact with another company for a scheduled flight. This company always has someone you can actually speak to and has already been in contact 2-3 days prior to our scheduled flight addressing any possible weather concerns. How do you contact someone less than an hour prior to flight time? Are you not watching weather forecasts a couple of days in advance. We were so annoyed and disappointed 3 weeks ago and adding a wasted 6 hour round trip drive to PA. Now after speaking to this other company and seeing how efficient they are and how much they value customer service, I am even angrier at how you completely screwed us over.

Canceled our flight 4 times, 2 hours prior to meeting time, due to weather. On our 5TH time rescheduling we received confirmation of our flight and drove 2 hours to a new location that wasn’t listed on the website. Was then charged $10 for parking, and made to wait another 2 hours before canceling our flight AGAIN! This company then only refunded 80% of my purchase price, and refused to refund “taxes and fees” BOOK WITH Balloons In Flight Over New Jersey, LLC and avoid this company at all cost!

Extremely disappointing; my boyfriend and I had a ride scheduled in October of 2022 which got cancelled due to wind, understandable. We rescheduled and once again it got cancelled apparently due to high wind even though when we were up at 6am when the ride would have been it was clear skies and no wind. Rescheduled again and it is now September 2023, just about a year later, and what was considered the most beautiful fall day with 62 degree weather, no chance of rain, and a max wind of 5 mph we get told our ride is once again cancelled due to apparently 18 mph winds. When contacting to ask to discuss a refund at this point they completely ignore us and just keep saying call us to reschedule. It has been a just about a year now and if they can't take us up on a day that was considered the perfect day when will they ever actually let us have the ride. At this point we feel like we have been scammed and they are not helpful which is disappointing because we were super excited to do this and they seemed like a good company. They only received 1 star because I can't post this with no stars.

I should of read reviews before booking so that is my fault. But the problem is when you book online you aren't told that you won't receive the address of where your going until the day of the ride. So twice we got ready to go and started the 2 hour drive to get to the area where we hoped the balloon ride would be and both times got cancelled an hour and a half before the balloon ride which I understand if it's not safe but we made the booking because that day and time worked for us. After being cancelled for weather twice and being annoyed we drove half an hour for nothing I didn't want to expierence that again so I didn't want to rebook. This is consider canceling to them and they only refund 85 percent. Why they keep 15 percent when it's cancelled for weather seems unfair to me. I get if the business hires someone and they show up and are ready to go and the customer doesn't show up that makes sense. But it's not our fault we were cancelled twice for weather and it's not the business fault either yet the customer gets punished. Not fair in my opinion so I don't recommend. But if you do book and don't get cancelled for weather I'm sure it's a great time from other reviews but it's a gamble if the ride will actually happen in the month you book it.

I had the pleasure of a hot air balloon flight at Collierville Tn. Balloon Festival 9-17-23. My pilot, Thomas Warren and his wife were fantastic. My flight was absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to do it again.

This was a great attraction at this year's 2023 Hazleton Community Children's Festival! Team was well prepared and were able to move groups of people through balloon ride all day very quickly.

Took a morning ride with Jon and Jamie today. REALLY enjoyed it. The entire experience was well organized. Jon, the pilot, was very knowledgeable, skilled and willing to answer all questions we had. Jamie, from the chase crew, worked his off to make sure everything went smoothly. If you have a chance and the $$, I would recommend you fly with them.

Our experience was unfortunately not a good one. We had 9 people including the pilot in a small balloon. Way too cramped. A group of two was added and supposed to go on a different flight but they allowed them on as well. That should never happen. We couldn't move an inch and felt stuck looking at the rear views the whole time instead of being able to see what is in front of us. On top of that, being close to the pilot and the heat torch was the worst part. The heat was constantly near us, blowing heat, and felt like it was burning our heads almost the entire time. I wish we had hats on, that may have helped and no communication to bring hats ever took place. Would give 0 stars if I could. Would have paid extra for a solo flight if I knew they would put 9 people on a small balloon.

My wife and I had an amazing time, and we have the crew and pilots to thank for that! John, Matt, and everyone else on the crew were all friendly, knowledgeable, and really made the whole experience a great time for us. You can tell the team really made sure we were comfortable and engaged with us in conversation the whole time and answered all questions we had. I highly recommend Lehigh Valley Hot Air to anyone wanting to experience this. It was our first time on a hot air balloon ride and we look forward to going again!

We enjoyed our ride last night and thought it was just amazing. Gliding quietly thru the air like a gentle giant. Absolutely did not have a fear of height because it was so smooth. Our pilot, Matt was great and so was Chad. We were in experienced hands. My only disappointment was that we only went about 3 miles. And we did a shared ride with 4 other people and they were a great family.but thought that maybe 6 in a basket was a little too cramped. I would definitely recommend doing this.it was on our bucket list.and I would recommend this company.

Do not use this company. They are a scam. I scheduled a flight for March 18,2023 and it was canceled by Lehigh Valley Hot Air. We attempted to reschedule for three other dates to make this work but the company said flights were canceled on those dates as well. It appears to be a never ending cycle of "try again" and they do not appear to intend to actually deliver they paid for service. I contacted them and requested a full refund because this was not a result of my canceling but the result of the company not being able to perform the contracted services and, for that reason, the cancelation policy did not apply and all funds should be returned. The company refused to act in good faith and issue a full refund. They said they would issue a refund less 15% cancelation fee, even though I did not cancel and they canceled. However, today they issued a partial refund and withheld 19% instead of the 15% they said they would withhold. I spoke to them on the phone and through email to try to resolve this amicably before having to write a bad review. At this point, I want to make sure other people don't lose their money without getting a service. Do not use this company.

Update to the public after the company response: Please be aware that the company's response is not adequate. While I understand that the nature of ballooning is subject to weather, the company's policy does not state that they will keep funds in the event that THEY cancel repeatedly. Therefore they are not compliant with their own policy and have not offered a realistic option for service delivery. They also withhold more from refunds than the stated 15% because they claim an additional approximate 4% is other fees they also don't refund.
