I was in the market looking for an inexpensive, student-level Bari sax I can practice on before looking to buy a more professional horn, but having trouble finding anything used that wasn't super pricey. Thankfully, I came across a low-A Bari that Keith had available - the bari was in great shape and played well, this was exactly the type of horn I was looking to find to get back into the groove. I'm very pleased with the sax itself, but also very thankful to Keith - he was awesome at responding back to my messages promptly, very accommodating at setting up a time to meet and play the horn myself (especially around the holidays & New Year!), and overall super easy to work with. I'm very excited and happy to have finally picked up a new (to me) sax I can work with. Thanks very much for your help and business, Keith! We found Lenz Discount Intruments through our sons teacher and Keith was easy to work with from the start. Our interactions were all through market place, he was quick to respond, answered all our questions and shared detailed photos of scratches the trumpet had. We received the trumpet quickly, it was as listed. This was an easy transaction.

My 52 year old alto sax needed a repair. I selected Lenz Band Instruments based on the reviews I read. My sax needed a part that is no longer available but Keith made a part from materials he had. It works perfectly. He had my sax back to me in less than a week. I would recommend him highly for any instrument repairs.

I can't say enough good about Mr. Lenz. I originally contacted him looking for a used Tenor Saxophone for my daughter. He had a wide range of instruments to look at that worked within our budget. We were able to try a few out and found a perfect fit! I did not realize, however, that we would be needing him again so quickly. We had a malfunctioning Alto Sax that needed a repair before a concert the SAME week. Not only did he have me bring it down, but was able to fix it while we waited! There is no one else in the Erie area I would recommend for instruments and repairs except for Lenz Discount Band Instruments. Giant thanks from us!

I’ve taken several trumpets to Keith over the years to repair. I have been very satisfied with the results each time. He completes repairs in a timely fashion and is very fair in pricing. I am pretty particular with my horns. I have never worried about how my horn will turn out because I have complete confidence in his work. As a lifelong musician my instruments are very important to me and I won’t entrust them to just anyone. Keith Lenz has proven himself to be not only a skilled repairman, but honest, ethical and fairly priced. I not only take my instruments to him but send private students and colleagues to him as well. It was a genuine pleasure working with Keith; I was referred to him by a friend who is a local high school band director. My valve trombone was in rough shape as I hadn't seriously played it in over four years. The two main slides were corroded and I broke a joint trying to get the large tuning slide off. Compounding the matter, I had a rehearsal approaching for a reunion show for a band I was in and needed the repair done in a short amount of time. Not only did Keith repair the joint and free the slides but he accomplished it quickly and for a very reasonable price. I honestly gave Keith five stars for his excellent work and highly recommend him for any work that you may need for your instrument.

Four years ago, I called Keith about buying two used student trumpets. He offered 2 very similar horns which I purchased as they were in very good condition, and both came with cases.
My grandsons have been playing these horns since without any issues.

Recently, I borrowed a piccolo trumpet from a friend and discovered that the fourth valve and slide were frozen. I took it to Keith and he quickly repaired it in less than a day.

I am extremely happy with both of these experiences and will not only take my own trumpets to Keith for repairs but will also recommend him to other friends who have similar needs.
