Liberty Vet Pets reviews
7I strongly recommend not going to this vet. It is a super chaotic / stressful environment, and the office itself is not clean. After going to another vet in the area, I realized how poorly run this business is. I want to note that if you scroll back to past reviews, this business responds and argues with people in the comments. That is all you need to know about how they are run. The main vet is moody and it almost seems that she tries to be unapproachable so that you are unable to ask questions such as - “is this a necessary test? ” Or to simply ask about the costs associated with your visit. World of Animals Vet is right around the corner and they have just as many appointments available and are less expensive.
We needed a new vet since moving to Philly. Liberty was thorough, matter of fact and clear in what we needed. Definitely recommend them if you're looking for a friendly neighborhood vet.
Liberty Vet Pets is an excellent resource for older pets. Reception and customer service is caring and competent. The doctor and her team came to our home fully prepared. They were thorough, patient, provided their undivided attention and stayed until the job was done. My (large breed) dog has received shots/meds, samples taken, an in-depth orthopedic exam, ear cleaning, toenail clippings and more, from the comfort of my living room!
Five stars is not enough.
While Dr. Bonnie probably does care about her pet patients, I felt that she was extractive in her practices. She tried charging me $140 for an antibiotic that was less than $5 on chewy pharmacy. While my dog had some discharge out of his eye, he had no other symptoms so I came to Liberty Vet pets to try to see what we could do to improve his eye symptoms. I was almost convinced into purchasing hundreds of dollars of tests and medications unnecessarily. Ultimately, I used $20 terramycin on my dog's eye to treat him and his eye was perfectly normal within days. I would avoid Liberty Vet Pets for your pet care.
Dr. Bonnie and her staff have been taking care of our two cats for ten years and we are totally satisfied with their care. We especially like house visits. We always schedule a house visit for their annual exam and shots. It is so much easier on the cats and us to have them seen at home. Dr. Bonnie and crew are caring, competent, and accomodating. When one of our cats was too ill to go on, Dr. Bonnie came to the house and he passed calmly and peacefully, We so appreciated that. We highly recommend Liberty Vet Pets.
We tried their services briefly because they offered home visits. We thought it would be more convenient but we ended up waiting around for hours because they were always running late then canceled without notice until the next day. Then when they did show up, they were disorganized and would argue with each other in front of us. Their prices were unjustifiably high and they pushed a lot of extra unnecessary tests/procedures compared to other practices.
We absolutely love Dr. Bonnie and all of the kind staff at Liberty Vet Pets. They go above and beyond to get the care your pet needs in, even when they are incredibly busy. I couldn't be more grateful for the care that our little shiba received over the past 2 years. Highly recommend! You are in good hands!
