Lightbridge Academy, Jenkintown PA

My son has been going to lightbridge since he was 4 months old! Ms Sharon, Ms Sarah, Ms Candice, Ms M, Ms Savannah and Ms Sue take great care of my son and all the other wonderful teachers that pop in and out! We can’t thank everyone enough for their great care!

We have gone to Lightbridge Glenside for childcare since April 2021. Leadership has been transparent with challenges and successes over the past 2 years, and we've seen marked improvement over the last year in the areas they have highlighted, namely teacher retention, support, and consistency. Supporting the staff and admin clearly has led to huge benefits for the kids. Becca, Kathy, and Jaclyn are organized, responsive, and helpful. Infant classroom- Sharon, Sarah, Sue, Candace, Massomuda are wonderful and attentive. We've worked with many fantastic teachers to name a few- Dana, Ryan, Silvia, Carolyn, Karina- everyone greets our children by name in the hallways and is very supportive. Mercedes in green frogs is a phenomenal early childhood educator- she is clearly highly skilled in providing a fun, safe, structured learning environment for toddlers. Very happy with our choice to go to Glenside Lightbridge.

Our son has been going to Lightbridge for 3 years now. He recently transitioned into the Prek class with Ms. Marianna and it has been wonderful! He is confident, happy, and enjoys showing off his hard work. Ms. Marianne has done a great job helping with potty training, exposing the class to Spanish, and communicating with us! Transitions can be difficult but this has been a very positive change.

We starting sending our son "after" the pandemic and have been consistently pleased with the level of care and curriculum given to the students. Miss Mariana (current teacher) does a really great job of engaging with my son and the other children.

Lightbridge is probably the best value in childcare in the area.

We could not be happier to have our son attend Lightbridge in Glenside. The staff really took the time to get to know our family and our now 10 month old. His teachers are communicative and truly show their love for our son everyday. We are so happy that our child is so happy there and feel so grateful to have our son learning and growing with amazing teachers. Cannot recommend enough, particularly the Infant A teachers.

Both of our children have been attending Lightbridge since they were 7 months old - they both love it there. We feel comfortable knowing they are well taken care of and are learning so much. My daughter’s teachers - Ms. Mercedes and Ms. Dana - do such a good job of making sure each day is both fun and educational. My son (who is only 17 months) is doing art/science projects and is so happy to see his teacher Ms. Taylor each morning. It can be difficult sending your little ones off to school every day, but the wonderful teachers at Lightbridge certainly make it a lot easier!

We love lightbridge! Ms. Mariana is just fantastic. She teaches in our little ones classroom and she is such a warm and engaging teacher.

We are so pleased withthe care our son receives at Lightbridge Academy-Glenside! We receive compliments from friends, family & acquaintances about how independent and social our 21 month old is. Every teacher knows each child and go out of their way to engage parents and keep them informed. The teaching staff in the Purple Cats classroom are nothing short of OUTSTANDING; specifically lead teacher, Ms. Taylor. Ms. Taylor is so creative developing activities and lesson plans (yes, lesson plans for toddlers). Due specifically to her work with language and literacy our son is excited and confident to try new words and is so in love with books we can't get to library fast enough every week! Thank you Lightbridge & Ms. Taylor!

We started sending our daughter here when she was 7 months old and she has been here for about a year. We love it! A beautiful new building, lots of fun activities, and teachers who really care about the kids. Our daughter’s head teacher Miss Taylor is amazing - when our daughter had a medical emergency, Miss Taylor reacted professionally and expertly to get her care. She then followed up with us over the weekend to see how our daughter was doing. We know our daughter is safe and happy here and look forward to many more years!

We sincerely thank you, Ms. Victoria, for being kind, caring, friendly, and patient with my son. He is happy to go to school at Lightbridge Academy in Glenside. We receive updates during the day from the class with pictures and activity descriptions to talk about it at home with him. Although he has enrolled for a few months, we can see that he has improved and become a better version of your class.

What I love most about Lightbridge is the curriculum and the extent to which all of the teachers and admin go to teach subjects from STEM to Black History Month, no matter the age of the child. Miss Taylor, the Purple Cats toddler teacher, manages to teach 15-month olds about weather, community workers, Serena Williams, and matching colors, for example, while also covering snacks, changes, playground time, and nap time. The facility itself is so safe and clean, and the other parents are very chill and friendly.

This school is very unprofessional and very expensive to NOT provide anything! I pulled my daughter out because a teacher hit her and she was never reprimanded for it even though the Director told me this wasn’t the first time she was told about Ms. Vanessa touching a child. I have a friend who works at this location and she witnessed Ms. Vanessa hit students, mind you I took my daughter out in December…. It is now February and they are still allowing her to work there. They don’t provide food or wipes or anything and I was paying close to 1,500 for her to go a full week. I told the direction multiple times before I pulled my daughter out I did NOT want her in the same room as Ms. Vanessa, she would go over my head and move her into the class anyway. Their communication skills are awful. I didn’t know my daughter was switched from her class to a class with kids younger than her until I went to go get her one day and nobody knew where she was. They also allowed my sister (her aunt) to pick her up without any verification that she even was who she said she was… they didn’t check any ID or give me a call to let me know she was getting picked up. By the way my sister is NOT on the pick up list. This school is horrible! And way to expensive for this type of care.

Never used their services, all my friends do and they love them. I give them 5 stars because I tore my MCL and they let me use their parking spots for my physical therapy so I don't have to walk far to the gym across the street. 20/10 staff and business.

Our daughter has been going to Lightbridge for the past six months and we are very happy with the care being provided. The staff and teachers are caring, and the communication is outstanding. The activities/curriculum is great for children's development. The Lightbridge academy app is also very helpful for getting regular updates from the facility, including photos and details on meals/naps. Would definitely recommend this facility for your child's care.

Great facility and great staff. We've attended other daycare centers in the area and this is much cleaner and nicer. My kids love getting dropped off and it's nice to have the ability to check in to see what they're doing from time to time. I would recommend Lightbridge to all of my friends and family.

We love having our daughter at this daycare. All of the staff work well with her (even back in her colicky days) and the team communicates effectively with us as well. Glad we found this daycare!
