Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Scranton PA

I have to share my experiences with everyone regarding lindwood facility. My family and I are so thrilled with the care our mom is receiving there. The nursing staff couldn’t be anymore attentive to her medical needs and they are all so caring. The aids there are wonderful. I feel as though I’ve known them so long and it’s only been a year. I couldn’t say anything bad about Linwood I always tell them to save me a bed when it’s my turn. I also want to say that Danielle In the office. She couldn’t be more caring and so so helpful to get my moms financial part She is so wonderful. I have to say I love them all

My mom went to Linwood for rehab post 2 falls at home. The PT Dept did a great job with her rehab and had her up and moving within several weeks. They were very encouraging. The nursing and Social Work staff was very kind and caring and helped her adjust to living at the facility. She enjoyed Dave’s singing and guitar playing, Laura in activities is always looking for fun new ways to entertain the residents and make them smile. She loved seeing the pets that would come through to visit with the residents, especially Minnie the Mooch! Linwood is a small, homelike setting and we are very grateful for the excellent care given to our mom, most especially in her final days. Thank you to your wonderful staff.

My mother in law was a quest for almost 2 years. I actually should say that she became a member of the Linwood Family during that time. Mom enjoyed her time at Linwood. She especially enjoyed all the daily activities, singing of songs and the reciting of the Rosary, as she was very religious. She made many new friends and received the socialization that she was missing. The entire staff treated her with respect and dignity. The love and compassion that was shown to her at the end of her life will never be forgotten by her family. Our family can not thank the Linwood Family enough for their tremendous care.

My mom was a patient at Linwood for several weeks following an illness. The nursing staff and therapists were professional, knowledgeable, and caring. Special thank you to Sharon, for her continual updates and exceptional kindness and concern for my mom and our family.

Mom has been a resident at Linwood for about 4 months now. The staff is phenomenal and treats my mom with care and dignity. Mom also enjoys the meals served there, which is important to us. Linwood and it’s staff have made Mom’s tough transition from home to Nursing Center very smooth.

I want to thank Sharon Cullen for her kindness, knowledge, and compassion! I have talked with many social workers and no one can compare to Sharon. She helped me understand so much when my Mom, Dorothy was there and continues to do so, as my Uncle Mike is in Linwood for his second stay as a patient. These situations are all new to me and she helped explain circumstances that might occur or not occur. Sharon is a gem, I don’t know how I would have gotten through this without her. Thank you again Sharon! Linwood was a positive experience for us and I boast to all my family and friends about Linwood.thank you everyone at Linwood.

My experience with my aunt at Linwood Rehab was very positive because of our social worker, Sharon. It was a very difficult time for my 86 year old aunt who had never been hospitalized til April and then admitted to Linwood for rehabilitation. It was during Covid restrictions and without Sharon our family would have been beside ourselves worrying about her. Whenever we called, our questions were answered promptly. The recreation people did a wonderful job of helping her to call us and to also video chat. I cannot comment on anyone else personally but I can give 5 stars to the receptionists, the recreation department and especially Sharon!

My mom had the time of her life at Linwood. The activities staff were phenomenal, she participated in everything. All staff were caring and dutiful, they put residents first. At the end of my mother’s journey we could not be there due to covid, but she was not alone Linwood was there with her.

Our family's experience has been very positive. Everyone has been very cooperative before and during Covid 19. Our loved one is well taken care. We are in touch with him thru video chats set up by the wonderful staff in the activity department. Everyone realizes how difficult not seeing our loved one is and are very helpful. We can now see my husband during the scheduled patio visits. Not ideal, but very much appreciated because we can see each other and not feel so disconnected. Looking forward to the day I can walk into his room and have the big hug we yearn for. We thank the entire staff for all the love and caring. Liz Nardella

The staff at Linwood are very kind and caring. I was afraid to leave my mom in a nursing facility at first, but here it is a year later and I know she is well taken care of. Everyone from the social workers, nurses, aides, OT and PT, activities, receptionists, cleaners, food services and whomever else I may have left out have been more than helpful. Also this facility is kept very clean. Before Covid, our priest visited my mom and remarked on the exceptional cleanliness. Thank you all and God bless!

My mother spent about 3 weeks in the short term rehab unit after receiving a pacemaker. She received excellent care while there. The entire team: nurses, therapists, social workers, and associates were extremely attentive to my mom’s needs. Everyone was very welcoming and made my mom feel right at home. She was very pleased with the care she received and we appreciated the progress she made while there. We would highly recommend this rehab.
