Didn’t get our food for an over an hour while other tables who came after us got seated, got their food and got the check and left all while we didn’t have anything.when asked, waitress said the kitchen was backed up.but if the kitchen was backed up, how come everyone else got their food? Not to mention, we were the only black people in the courtyard.do with that what you will

Fabulous experience at Little Nonna’s! We snagged a last minute reservation in their courtyard. We weren’t sure what to expect but arrived to a cute and airy courtyard with fans keeping us cool! It was an extremely hot day but we were comfortable in the courtyard. We had the rigatoni alla vodka, stracciatella, mushroom arancini, and garlic bread. We also tried the seasonal watermelon panzanella. YUM! Service was good and our server was helpful in choosing dishes. I didn’t realize the rigatoni had a whole sausage on top however. It’s good to know they can do the rigatoni vegetarian however! The mushroom arancini were a huge highlight, we absolutely loved them! Definitely going back soon for more. Hoping to try the meatballs next.

Family decided to try Nona's based on a local recommendation. The service was busy but polite and kind. So be patient, the front and back of the house hustle. We ordered the Gnocchi, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmesan with macaroni, and the Rigatoni Alla Vodka. All of the portions were very large, except the Gnocchi which was moderate (normal sized). The fusilli pasta with the chicken Parm was slightly over cooked but All of the other dishes were perfect tender but not soft. All off the sauces and meats in the dishes were delicious.

The dinning area is cozy with all type of customers. I enjoyed seeing a mix - added to the atmosphere. We didn't use the washrooms but there seemed to commonly have a line waiting. The desert, Chocolate Hazelnut Cannoli, was awesome! Not large portions just two small ones but perfect after a large meal. Highly recommended. Also 5be house red wine paired excellent with everything. Really enjoyed the food!

A pleasant Italian place w/ friendly staff and huge portions which taste good and presented in an appealing way to the eye. It is the small things that can be improved, like not frying the bread in butter, not presenting the secondo at the same time as antipasti, not offering black pepper mill.but all in all the establishment got the benefit of the doubt and receive a five star grade.

I loveeed the food here. There's a secret path that takes you into a whimsical covered patio. The food was good, with generous portions. There was a very good wine selection as well. The service was a bit slow, it may have been because it was a busy night!

We like their curbside booths with each table separated from the neighboring tables. It's much safer than dining indoor and much more hygienic than just tables on the sidewalk. The Bronzino alla piastra was very good, very tasty. The Campanelle nero was OK. And the little Nona's garlic bread was excellent.

Upscale and filling Italian food without the big price tag. A couple of solid vegetarian options. Service was friendly, food came out a bit slow but it definitely came out hot and tasty. Pictured: garlic bread and eggplant parmesiana

Dinner was delicious and I would love to go back. I was visiting Philly for a work function and was able to go by Little Nonna's for dinner one night. $25 for dinner, $3 for bread. The pasta was fresh and eveything was delicious. My waitress, Emily, was really nice and took great care of me.
The restaurant is small. There's not much room inside but, there is outside/patio seating.

We had an amazing dinner last evening. Our first time at Little Nonna’s. The Beef Ragu was delicious and the watermelon salad was so refreshing! The best was our waitress who was so knowledgeable about the different dishes. We can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend

Absolutely delicious. We had two friends visiting from and Little Nonna's was a short walk from the hotel. It was a Thursday night and we didn't have reservations but we were lucky and there was a table in their curbside shelter. Our waiter was immediately welcoming, kind and informative.

Several very bold mice were running wild (and jumping!) in the courtyard where we were conducted by the host, who should have known better. Pretty disgusting. No offer from management to comp as a result. Fare was undistiguished to say the least- the "Caesar salad" was a little pile of broccoli doused with parmesan. Branzino ok, too vinegary. "Meat and cheese plate" was a sad square of cheese, a couple small slices if salumeria, and a hunk of fennel. Kind of a disaster.

Great environment and friendly staff. Each team member was working very hard, bringing out drinks and food in a timely manor. The food was excellent, with healthy portions, and blended flavors. The short rib is incredible. Well worth the visit!

Amazing! My boyfriend and I sat outside, ordered cocktails and the cheeseboard to start. Our waiter was so kind and prompt, he even decided to surprise me for my main meal. It was the rigatoni with sausage and it was perfect! I definitely will be back here and want to try the desserts. Not to mention the Sunday Gravy was outstanding.

I was literally asked to wait outside because the hostess was feeling claustrophobic - she’s in a tiny restaurant and I’m the only one waiting for my to go order. She went outside to have a cigarette when my food was up. I have bug bites on my arm from waiting outside. My chicken parm was over cooked. Burnt. Which is not surprising considering how long I waited for it.

Food was amazing. I felt safe eating there post-Covid. There was a good amount of space because some of the seating is in the street. It makes you feel like you have a good distance from the folks walking on the side walk. And the other diners on the sidewalk. Our server, Lydia, was AMAZING.

2 year update: Lil Nonna's is still wonderful. Last night our waiter was Eric. Not only is he gorgeous but so sweet and took great care of us! We had the Italian lemonade (carafe) was so good. Wild mushroom aricini which was excellent! And stracciatella (cheese, olives, seat salt and toated bread) - amazing. And we both got the chicken parm- very good We shared the tiramisu too. We took home more than half of our chicken parm. Looking forward to eating my left overs! Another great meal with great service. Glad this restaurant survived the pandemic and keeps serving good food!

This one of the best Italian fare restaurants I've been to in my life.
The place is charming in a charming neighborhood.
The staff is friendly and know their menu well. The food is in good portions and with such a luscious taste that you will want to keep coming back, like I do:)

Really Nice. A Little Gem. Superb. I would give five stars for food and seven stars for Service. The hostess herself is great as she accommodated us eventhough we arrived 15 minutes early. Our waitress, Carolyn is simply AWESOME. She knows her foods and I am extremely happy with her recommendations on food and beer. Great Job!
I will definitely come back here!

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant to get some good Italian food. I didn't have reservations but I called in and they were able to squeeze us in. When we arrived we parked in a garage nearby because parking is terrible. We walked into a small restaurant with tables pretty close. We were sat and Sean was our server and he was nice. They have a limited bar so I started with the red sangria and it was good then I got the red wine which wasn't great but I drank it anyway. My boyfriend ordered the spaghetti and I ordered the squid ink pasta and shrimp. The food portions are pretty big and when they came out it looked great. We also ordered garlic bread which was tasty. My boyfriend said his pasta was ok. My meal was pretty good and filling. We had a pretty ok time.
