Longwood Gardens reviews
16Incredible place. Came here for Christmas lights installation. Will be coming in the warmer months for the fountain show.
Been a member here for years. The winter set-up never fails to deliver a memorable experience!
Love this place! Doesn’t matter what season you are going to visit garden, you’ll be always excited! We enjoyed Christmas lights show and Summer fountain lights show
Fabulous to see any time of year, but especially at Christmas. Simply beautiful grounds and buildings!
GORGEOUS.
Man do I adore this place, it’s beyond breathtaking and hard to explain the actual beauty behind this place.it’s MASSIVE, you have to dedicate your day to it in order to see most of the garden, it’s still possible you can’t do it all in a day.
It’s pretty pricey, so it’s also good to keep the size in mind when planning your day in order to get your moneys worth! If you can do these things, it’s totally worth the price.
The food is very expensive, I would say it’s the only thing that wasn’t very good or worth the extra add on (save it for the gift shop <3). Id say if you can, snacks. And if you go in the summer like I did, WATER WATER WATER. It gets horribly hot.
Love this place and would go back in a heartbeat!
The conservatory is the best I've ever seen. I can't believe they change it seasonally - it's so huge, I just don't understand. The volunteers are extremely knowledgeable and kind and share wonderful stories.
Longwood Gardens is a true horticultural paradise that exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I entered the grounds, I was captivated by the stunning beauty and meticulous attention to detail.
One of the highlights of my visit was the fountain shows. The choreographed displays were nothing short of mesmerizing, with water shooting high into the air in perfect synchronization with music. The combination of colorful lights and the soothing sound of water created a truly magical experience. It was a delight to witness the fountains dance and twirl, creating a symphony of movement and grace.
The conservatory at Longwood Gardens was another incredible feature. As soon as I stepped inside, I was enveloped by a lush tropical oasis. The conservatory houses an impressive collection of plants from around the world, each one more breathtaking than the last. The variety of species and the meticulous arrangement of the displays showcased the expertise and passion of the horticultural team.
Walking through the conservatory felt like stepping into a different world, with vibrant flowers, towering palm trees, and delicate ferns creating a sensory feast for the eyes. The air was filled with the intoxicating scent of exotic blooms, transporting me to far-off lands. I could have spent hours exploring the different rooms and admiring the intricate beauty of each plant.
In addition to the fountain shows and conservatory, Longwood Gardens offers a plethora of other attractions. The outdoor gardens are a sight to behold, with meticulously manicured lawns, vibrant flower beds, and tranquil water features. The sheer size and diversity of the gardens are awe-inspiring, and it was a joy to wander through the various paths and discover hidden nooks and crannies.
Throughout my visit, I was impressed by the dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Longwood Gardens has implemented numerous eco-friendly practices, such as rainwater harvesting and composting, which further enhanced my appreciation for this remarkable place.
The staff at Longwood Gardens were friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their work. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it was evident that they truly cared about the well-being of the plants and the enjoyment of visitors.
Overall, my visit to Longwood Gardens was an unforgettable experience. The combination of breathtaking natural beauty, meticulously maintained gardens, and a commitment to sustainability made it a true horticultural haven. I left feeling inspired and in awe of the wonders of nature. I cannot wait to return and continue exploring this botanical paradise.
It was my first time, but not my last. Beauty at its best. I would like to thank all the staff who took the time long hours to put everything together so amazing
Longwood gardens a beautiful breath taking garden experience. We went over holidays, they had an area for children. Place to eat inside, a shop, and it seems to be a favorite place for people to relax and take in the plants and read a book. Please experience
I love it we wet here with my family during the holidays it was a little pack but it was worthy
Absolute gem of a garden! Massive, with plenty of space to walk and enjoy the beauty of the gardens. The indoor gardens are wonderfully done, and during Christmastime, the lighting is impeccable!
I am always in awe! We have only been during the Christmas season, but no detail is left undone, and I am always inspired.
Make sure you try the Kennett Square mushroom soup in a homemade bread bowl, and don't forget to visit the light show!
Just went for the first time with another family. It was a little brisk but a great way to get steps in. They had great concessions and educational and museum style exhibits along the way. Signage was good and kept us from getting lost in the park
Longwood Gardens is a truly magical place! There is so many pretty trees, plants, flowers, treehouses and even alcohol. Plan to spend at least 3 hours to really enjoy it, and wear your best, and most comfortable sneakers because the whole time you’re waking.
Lights were gorgeous. Even on the last night it was not too crowded and you were able to enjoy the lights and gardens. I will be back next year.
Everyone is so nice and helpful. The gardens and greenhouse conservatory were just beautiful in any season.
