Came here for dinner after a long day of work. The place was empty on a Thursday night except for two people. Waitress was super welcoming and friendly. She did forget to put in our appetizer. Food was delicious and tasted authentic. Cozy feel to the restaurant. Would come back!

I very rarely write a negative review for something, but last night’s dinner was one of the most unusual dining experiences I’ve had. I actually pushed this restaurant over the Ukrainian one my partner suggested.

We started with the tostones. The toppings were decent, and the tostones were okay. They weren’t bad, but I’ve had much better. Something was missing, flavor wise.

My partner ordered the mahi mahi special in creole sauce, which was also good. I ordered the first thing on their mainstay entree menu (chicken). I was served decent rice and beans and two chicken cutlets. You know, like an influencer would meal prep for a diet. The menu said they were marinated in mojo sauce, which I love, hence the order. I ate one bone dry piece, and when the waitress finally got around to check in/ask us about dessert, I asked “wasn’t there supposed to be sauce on this? ” She pointed to the onion slices and said, “oh, the onions are the mojo sauce. ” Like… I was giving you an out because there’s NO WAY this is the dish as it’s intended. Mojo sauce, if you are unfamiliar and also incapable of reason, is sauce. I’m assuming (hoping) it was pulled from the kitchen before it was finished. As I was packing up, I asked if there was any sauce I could put on it because it was dry. She said, “I can only think of chimichurri, ” which made no sense since the special across from me was seeping in creole sauce. At no point did our waitress apologize or offer to make any changes- in fact, she didn’t even check in until my partner was completely done with his meal.

Anyway, I shredded the chicken and added spinach, salsa, and cheese at home. While this was a pretty good save, it would have cost me $4 to make at home (not $22). And my chicken isn’t dry and sad!

I couldn’t help thinking about the $2 tamales Masa makes on Sundays, and how mad I was that my partner had paid for my food. I gave so many outs and options to adapt the meal and apologize, and it just didn’t happen. The food all around me looked good, so I’m assuming this young waitress was just incompetent. If that really IS your chicken entree, ya’ll should be embarrassed. As a reminder, then chicken is already dead, and you don’t need to cook it to death a second time.

Had a lovely Saturday night dinner here! Enjoyed the Cuban Fried Rice. Great vibe, bartender was very friendly and attentive. Mangotini was delicious.

My favorite place when I visit Harrisburg for work. The Masita de Puerco is out of this world.

Amazing food. Unbelievable atmosphere and just top notch staff. If you are near here, you MUST eat/drink here. It is exceptional. Reservations pretty much necessary, FYI.

Excellent experience that exceeded my expectations for Cuban food. The house made Guava dressing was excellent, pork like butter and a well selected cocktail and wine list. Dulce de leche for dessert highly recommended.

I live near the place I ordered something to take away, ceviche and lechón
A complete disappointment. It wasn't ceviche but just shrimp in some sauce and lechon super dry but the rice swimming in oil. Awful food.attention seems good

Absolutely loved the place. The food and service is first rate. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming from the time you walk in the door until you say goodbye. Very small intimate and memorable.
Definitely a place Everyone needs to check out.
We be going back often.

I was sent to Harrisburg for a work trip, Everywhere required reservations except this diamond in the rough! The FOOD was exceptional, and the service was beyond my expectations! Strawberry Mojito A+ Dont pass this up!

Staff was very friendly. I had the ceviche, which was made with twist from the Peruvian version. This one comes with tomato and pinapple in a glass. It was pretty good.

I ate here a few years ago for my birthday and got the special (and expensive) paella and honestly.was disappointed. It wasn't very good. We went here again for my buddies birthday.and it was FANTASTIC! I did steer clear of the paella but the dish consisting of fried pork was absolutely wonderful and so flavorful.

The two things that stood out most were -

1. Our waitress. She was WONDERFUL. Patient, attentive, and ON POINT with the recommendations.

2. The coconut empanadas (reccomended by our waitress!). These were chillingly good. So crispy and sweet and savory at the same time! Seriously, the week prior to this I had spent a week in the Northeast of the country eating at world famous restaurants and I come home to try a bite of food I will remember forever! These were absolutely and utterly fantastic.
