Lotus Food Company reviews
23Came here when I decided to get more into Chinese cooking. They have everything you could want, from the niche ingredients to tools and everything in between.
Excellent service. The have a lot of the items that I like to buy. Great produce and it's well labelled
Also name as Lotus, I like it. Sometimes the stuff give me the student discount, sometimes not. I don’t know why because i use the same student id.
A great assortment and the selection of fresh green is amazing!
New Edit: So there is a super secret little kitchen that does pork bao and pork belly bao. Made fresh! Delicious!
Also, my super secret spot to get Cafe du Monde coffee and chicory from New Orleans. $5.99 a can! A steal!
Must try the steamed pork buns, absolutely delicious! My 12 yo and I like to go once or twice a month just to try something new
My favorite Asian market in the strip. Large variety and clean. Friendly employees. Great prices too!
Pretty great selection, but they didn't have a few of the staples I look for, such as Banana Uyu and Bacchus.
The Oriental supermarket that I visit the most in Pittsburgh. Not too far from downtown and Shady side and easy for parking.
Basically you can get most of the things you need to make Chinese cuisine.
The staff aren't so friendly here, in fact, kind of rude for the most time, but we don't get to many choice for Oriental market in Pittsburgh.
They have everything you need for authentic Asian cuisine including the wok and utensils, everything is at a fair price
Large assortment and finally I found bean sprouts. They seem to be endangered in Pittsburgh. Clean store and friendly staff.
Great selection of Asian foods from various ethnicities. Really great produce section. I was very impressed. Now I need some new recipes to widen my cooking repetoire!
Interesting little store. I have no clue what 90% of the stuff is in this place. I only go in for a few specific items.
Found some really good Indian groceries too at a cheap price. I havent been here often but the one or two times I went there, I was abke to find some interesting stuff I havent seen anywhere else in town. If not for anything, just go take a look at the variety of staples they have in store.
My Chinese girlfriend loves his place, but you have to know how to put the recipes together, especially the dried fish)
Find sauces, spices, fruit, veggies, and some frozen meats and meals for liquidation prices. Bought $41 worth of groceries for $11. Cannot beat their prices and can easily find parking on 17th and Penn Ave almost every visit.
This place is incredible they have all sorts of Asian products here for purchase at a fair price. I’m amazed that a place like this exists in Pittsburgh. Even if you don’t like Asian food come for the experience
I love this store because of all the different stuff you can buy, the groceries are cheap. You can buy fresh frozen noodles from here to cook at home. Amongst a lot of other things, it’s just that type of store you may end up being in for 30 mins or more. Trying to decipher what some things are and just browsing, it’s fun.
Fantastic selection of Asian cooking items. Tons of frozen dumplings, Asian veggies and meat items. Very reasonable prices. And right near Wholey's!
This place has everything you need to make the perfect dinner. Don't forget to pick up a few snacks too.
