Lou's Auto Service & Sales reviews
12Messed up the undercarriage/fender a bit and drove it to Lou's without calling or anything. He immediately said he was able to squeeze me in and it would be done the latest in the afternoon. It was done an hour later! And the owners (I think they were the owners) were super, super lovely as well.
I needed help with a small tire problem, and came to Lou's as they were recommended to me by two friends. They fixed it immediately and did not even charge! Very kind and genuine people.
Best shop I have gone to in Pittsburgh, and at this point, I have no real desire/time/money to trying others because I keep coming back. Service is quick and therefore doesn't cost a fortune. George and other mechanics take the time to explain what is wrong and give tips and suggestions in a friendly and helpful manner. They are understanding that not everyone can spend top dollar to keep old hooptie running, and will offer options to save money when they can. They have never tried to rope me into spending more money. They also guarantee the parts they buy. At one point, I had O2 sensors replaced and 1 of the new ones ended up being faulty, so they replaced it for free when other places have charged me for repeated parts/labor that didn't even fix a root cause on the same car.
This shop couldn’t even repair a simple leaking valve cover. The front office man, George, is an excellent confidence man. He’ll suggest extraneous repairs, sway you into cash jobs to save you money, etc. After their second attempt, which is still a slow leak. He said, “ its not even that bad of a leak anyhow. ”
$700! -an outrageous price but I needed it done quickly for my business vehicle during peak season. I wasted my time and my money here. Go elsewhere.
Was in a jam with a dead car, i called 4 dealers for my jeep and they all could not see me for 5 days.i called lou's shop and he look at my car and fixed my problem in ten minutes. NO GAMES. $20 bucks and on the road again.he is TOP NOTCH.
These guys were amazing. I'm new to Pittsburgh and honestly had no clue who to go to.
I was recommended here by a friend, thinking I had brake problems. Turns out brakes are practically perfect, and the issue was something else entirely.
The problem was explained to me, and nothing was done until they asked me first. Very nice, very professional, and very reasonable.
I will definitely be back here for any auto repairs I need!
Went for an inspection in early April and they said it was perfectly fine to drive. Earlier this week our car completely broke down and multiple mechanics have told us the engine was basically completely broken, there was no coolant left and we had to get a new car. No idea how they passed our inspection.
I take all mechanical work to these guys the work is always correct a guaranteed. Thanks guys
Tells you straight up what u need done & will help u get it done! No well Maybe this or that & as a woman I need someone I can trust!
Fair pricing and can get you in at 8am. You can sit inside or walk up the street to Dunkin. Very friendly and honest. They will assess the needs and tell you what needs done. They have been around for years. Overall, great local dealership that provides quality services with fair pricing.
Very helpful and quick turnaround after dropping the keys off. Was straight forward with me about potential costs and what will need fixed.
I do not recommend coming to this mechanic because they do not provide clear information about prices.
