Luxe was absolutely everything I could have wished for on my wedding day! They were amazingly flexible when we moved our wedding due to covid. We then ended up doing a last minute small ceremony and by some miracle and effort on their part, they made sure we would have hair and makeup for myself, bridesmaids, and mothers for the wedding. Evelyn and Amanda both did amazing work and I've never felt more beautiful and pampered! I would 100% recommend this salon not only for special event hair and makeup but also in general for such friendly owners and staff.

Luxe Hair Salon went above and beyond to provide beautiful hair and makeup services for my wedding! We had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic, and I lost my original hair/makeup team as a result. Hair and makeup was something I had booked very early on in my planning process, so I was worried that I would struggle to find an equally skilled team to provide services for our small wedding. My worry ended up being completely unnecessary! Luxe met and exceeded my high expectations in every way!

Luxe also styled me for my bridal shower and the rehearsal dinner. For my bridal shower, Tamara and Evelyn even made arrangements to come into the salon outside of normal business hours to do my hair and makeup! Everyone was so wowed by my hair and makeup for both of these events, so I knew my hair and makeup for the big day would be beyond beautiful!

The results for the wedding day speak for themselves. The “before” of me at the beginning of the day versus my made up look. I still looked like me, but after hair and makeup I looked like the best version of me. Amanda and Evelyn were amazing! Side note: I think that everyone expects great hair from a hair salon that specializes in bridal, but Luxe’s estheticians and makeup artists are also masters of their craft. (Bette did my rehearsal makeup and Evelyn did my shower and wedding makeup). Their attention to detail is amazing. I’ve never had a makeup artist spend as much time and thought on my makeup as Bette and Evelyn did.

I loved my hair and makeup for my wedding and associated events so much that I booked Luxe again for our bigger party/reception next summer. Although I loved the hair and makeup team that I had initially booked, I ended up loving Luxe’s work even more! They also did a great job with hair and makeup on my bridesmaids (one opted for just hair) and my mom. Highly recommend/thanks, Luxe!

I had my first experience at Luxe today. I called around 11: 30am to see if they had any open appointments for the afternoon and spoke with Michelle. She was very bubbly and happy to help. She told me that Hillarie had an available appointment for 2pm. Not only was the decor extremely hip and stylish, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I give a million thanks to Hillarie! She was everything I could ask for and more from a stylist. She took her time, listened to my needs, and was so kind. From start to finish she absolutely killed it. I will never let anyone else do my hair ever again. Thank you again for being so wonderful and revamping my hair. This is hands down the best salon experience I have ever had.

I switched from Dekalash to Luxe for my eyelash extensions. Wow what a difference! I get compliments like crazy now and from people who noticed the change. These lashes look more natural and last almost 3 weeks! I could barely make it a week before. Bette is awesome and a true artist. She spends time with you to make sure your lashes are perfect. Deka on the other hand rushes you out before the next appointment whether they are finished or not.
The only downfall is that Luxe salon charges you $7.50 every time you go for “PPE”. I’ve gone twice now and for the $15 I’ve spent I could have bought en entire case of hand sanitizer. I’ve been to a few other salons since covid and haven’t experienced this charge except for here. Hopefully they will soon set a limit for loyal customers because we can’t possibly use this much in a lifetime let alone each visit and it’s just not fair.

I have been going to Tamara at Luxe Hair Salon since the day it opened. I have permed hair, so I go twice a year for perms and every 4-5 weeks for cut & color. I am there often! I look forward to every appointment, as it is always a wonderful visit. Tamara and her entire staff work tirelessly to provide an all around positive experience with phenomenal hair care and other services.

This is the best salon in Pgh. The atmosphere is peaceful & the staff is awesome. I leave looking & feeling beautiful and really enjoy the positive energy. The receptionists are very nice and always do their best to accommodate which I really appreciate with my hectic schedule. I have very thick/curly hair and Tamara, my stylist, is like the master for curls - my hair falls into place nicely and is so easy to manage. I love my hair color too! I receive a lot of compliments on my style & woman approach me & ask about my curls “is that natural? ! Where do you get your hair done? ” I have to say the compliments make me feel good. I also enjoy watching the other stylist attend to their clients while I’m there - everyone walks out looking so pretty and happy with their style.

After having a horrible first month of 2019 I decided I wanted to get my hair done to end it on a positive note. The salon I used to go to, the person whom I used to see wasn’t there anymore so I decided to try somewhere new and was strongly suggested to go here from a friend. Talking to the person who took my info down, I had wanted a cut and some color. I had explained that I have very curly hair and wanted to know if there was anyone there that had experience with curly hair and knew how to cut it. I also needed something done with the roots, my roots had grown in quite a bit and I wanted something done to flow through the ends so the color meshed, specifically highlights. They ensured me that stylist had curly hair herself and knew how to handle it. Well, I got there, she added what she called baby highlights and then cut my hair. She showed me my hair and I honestly couldn’t tell what she had done to my hair color-wise, I thought maybe in better light I could see what she did. I got home and I took photos of how I left the salon and then photos of how I styled my hair. The cut is VERY uneven, I will have to grow it out and then have it cut again to even out it out and the highlights, you can barely tell anything was added. I paid 150 dollars for this appointment and let me tell ya, I certainly don’t feel 150 dollars different. Feeling disappointed is an understatement and I will be going somewhere else to get the color fixed properly. If you have thick curly hair and need your roots done, DO NOT go here.

I used this salon for my wedding day and they were absolutely wonderful. They were so accommodating and so helpful. They did a fantastic job and I could not be happier with the way myself and all of my girls looked.

First time visiting this salon. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and stylists. Absolutely LOVE the haircut and style the Michala created for me. Went from very long hair to a chin length bob, and she didn’t even flinch. Checked in often to see if I was happy with how things were going and get my opinion. Already booked my next appointment. Definitely recommend!

Tamara and her gals at Luxe are the absolute best in the biz! I’ve been getting my hair done for years by Tamara and recently started having Bette do my eyelash extensions as well. I couldn’t be happier with either service! The salon is the most adorable and comfortable salon I’ve ever been to. I work in the wedding industry in Pittsburgh and we always refer our clients to the Luxe team for hair & makeup as well. Check them out!

I was looking for a new salon for color and cut and on a whim called Luxe as I pass it on my way to and from work. Read the reviews on line, scheduled with Carolyn, and was extremely pleased with her suggestions for the style and color. There is no doubt that she will be my new stylist! The place is charming, friendly and professional! She was awesome!

I enjoyed my visit. The people were very nice! I was a little unhappy with how my hair turned out, but eventually found a way to style it so it works. Thanks for cutting my hair Caroline! It looks great!

Very welcoming and you can tell everyone loves what they are doing. The staff is very knowledgeable and educated, from a classic color and cut, to trendy styles and extensions; the stylists do it all! This salon offers more than just hair services though, I personally have also utilized their eyelash extension service, Bette is amazing at what she does and is also extremely knowlegable in her field of service. Waxing services and facials are also available and I look forward to trying them both. Happy luxe girl)
