Macoby Run Golf Course reviews
18Challenging but beautiful golf course - it keeps you coming back for more! Also, we had the most perfect day celebrating our marriage at Macoby Run. We booked the venue late 2019 for a wedding reception in October 2020, but considering the state of the pandemic over the summer, we made the decision to get married on our original date, but to postpone our reception for a full year. Sheila was nothing but supportive and understanding which was so refreshing when making a very stressful decision. She helped us to create a menu and drink list that was molded perfectly to what we wanted for our guests AND that comfortably fit our budget. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful! There are several locations on the property that provide breathtaking photo opportunities, and the view from the pavilion is stunning, especially as the sun sets.
I love this course. I played this morning. The course was in great shape. We had a 7: 20 am tee time. We never waited for the group ahead and we never saw the group behind. It was a very fun course to play. I can only imagine playing it a second time would make it better. Just so we know the course better.
Great shape. Friendly staff. No senior rates on Friday. It took 4.5 hours for two of us to play the round. Pace was too slow. The other downside is there is no water in the ball washers.
Can't beat this for the money. Friendly staff. Simple course layout that still offers some challenges.
Nice course, fun round, kept in fairly good shape especially considering it is so affordable. Not super long and you probably won't need every shot in your bag, but it's challenging enough. Definitely helps to have someone who has played it before to help guide you. Have played it several times before and will be back many more (avoid the hot dogs at the turn tho).
The course is in excellent condition.
You will not fine any golf courses with this price.
I play on this course every week.
Pretty decent public course. Greens and tee boxes in good shape. Due to COVID-19, pro shop is probably not as good as it could be. Carts just ok.
Awesome course with a fun layout. No matter where you hit your tee shot you can usually find it and have a 2nd shot. Course was marked out with 100,150, and 200 yard markers which was nice. Food was great after our round and prices weren't too bad.
Great place to golf! Well maintained, beautiful course, beautiful scenery, and a great family atmosphere
The Wetlands restaurant is a hidden gem at this golf course. There's great food and a beautiful view of the grounds. I highly recommend!
Played here on March 25th and had a great time. The course was a little wet from all the rain and the greens were being aerated but it was still a great time for March in Pennsylvania. I can not wait to come back later in the season when everything is in full swing.
I always enjoy this course.
The front 9 were closed for aeration, but still a great round.
Greens are fast and in great shape. Fairways look nice and very few blemishes. But I'm 5 holes in, and 1 hour and 45 minutes into my round. No one out here is holding play up. The course is by putting way too many guys out here. I won't finish with a 12: 08 tee time! There will be lots of people looking for there $ back. And I will not come back. Last good weather weekend of the year wasted
Gorgeous course and friendly staff in the clubhouse made for a great first time round for me at Macoby Run. Tje fairways and greens were better than expected. It was obvious to me that a tremendous amount of care and effort is put into maintaining the links. I will definitely play here again.
Great local course for the average player. Lots of fairways to drive down and not too tight to hit. Some collected water in the course today after the rain last night.
Nice course, a little rough around the edges but very playable. Nice people there. The restaurant is not open though they have some snacks and hot dogs.
I was very pleased with the condition of the course. The greens were in great shape and rolled true and the fairways were also better than expected. This is a course that can challenge good players as there are several tough holes mixed in with some easier ones. Only reason it wasn’t 5 stars is because the carts are very old and we wondered if ours was going to make it.
Greens and fairways were in great shape.
Such a beautiful course.
The food at the club house was delicious.
No complaints.
