Department Store Macy's reviews
18This location has great employees. Not a lot in stock but helpful with returns and ordering whenever we go in person.
Very nice staff. Very helpful
Very good discounts on name brand goods
Enjoyable shopping experience
The Clinique counter at Macy’s is one of my favorite places to visit. They always have exactly what I am looking for and the ladies always take time with you.
This Macy's is absolutely filthy. There is visible grime everywhere. Smells like mold.
Very busy due to the holidays. There wasn't enough workers to go around so the wait was long and then when someone finally got around to me, they DID NOT have the eye cream I needed anyway, it had to be ordered. I can SEE WHY people just go online and order it themselves! Its sad but I still enjoy shopping there.
My boyfriend and I stepped aside while we were shopping to have a conversation and an employee rudely told us we had to leave because we were not actively shopping (which we previously had been). She referred to me as "honey" in a rude tone which I found very demeaning. Another customer even stepped in and pointed out that she was being rude. This other customer was very kind and even told me that i should have "honeyed" her right back. If that's how the employees are trained to speak to customers, I will take my business elsewhere. I wish I would have gotten her name. My friends who were there as well said it seemed racially motivated because she was kind toward them and neither of them are black (my boyfriend is black) and I would have to agree.
Went christmas eve. There was a mishap in the store. Clerks were kind and courteous while evacuating the store. Macys is the place to go for all your needs.
Macy's is a very nice place to shop there's very nice lady at the fragrance department she sells me estelada like she used to sell it to my mom.
Always beautiful apparel, home goods and foot wear. Love to go there every chance I can even when I'm in a different state.
Have shopped Macy’s Erie, PA for years. Extremely disappointed in women’s clothing. Racks full, style poor!
No longer taking returns on sale items. Very little merchandise in store. Lady at return desk is crankier every time I visit. Remod l looks promising.
They had a lot of product. Women's clothes everywhere. Today's highlight was clearance. It was everywhere! We ended up with 6 items for around $20. Retail was over a hundred.
2 problems. The every 5 minute push to sign up for a card. 6 times while checking out. Just from the cashier. And the 2nd floor. It's like a wasteland. Empty in spots. Not in others.
If you are going for the toys r us, do not. It's just a section of stuff you see everywhere else. For higher price
1 designer shoe out of a prom dress.
This entire store has become such a disappointment. The clothing for women is extremely limited. There is no longer a petites department. The shoe dept has become very limited. There is no longer any kind of dishes or china. It was very nice and high end when it replaced Kaufmans. The store associates just state that if you want more you have to travel out of town. I don’t know why they even bother to keep it open. It is not supply chain because Boscovs, Kohl’s and Talbots have plenty of merchandise.
Bad! A
I wanted a men's cologne and they only had the gift pack with 4 different sample bottles. She said oh we can't get them individually. I've been buying then individually for 20 years. Then she said should I wrap them? I said I don't care. They're yours and left.
Store was clean and employees were very friendly. Unfortunately they had very limited selection and we priced higher than competitors.
This review is for Macy’s as a whole. Two years in a row I’ve tried to buy expensive jewelry that was either advertised in the catalog or on line in the stores. They have the ear ring box on display with the price but no ear rings. I was told that they very seldom have what’s on line or in the catalog. I don’t want to order on line because at check out it says the item SHOULD arrive by Dec. 24th. Not willing to take that chance. Shame on Macy’s…this practice is leaning toward bait and switch. I am a platinum card holder. Again, this is for Macy’s as a whole not just a particular store.
Nice store, ignorant employees. Went in to buy a pair of shoes for work, was yelled at by an employee at the cash register to shoo because it’s a “returns” cash register only which i figured was weird because I cashed out there several times in the past. No big deal, just a little unprofessional way of telling me to go elsewhere. Then I proceeded to the middle of the store where I found Brenda. Brenda was great. I loved the dirty stare she gave me when I as a customer rudely interrupted her conversation with her friends to purchase an item. I put the shoes up on the counter and she gave me this warming look of disgust and proceeded to talk to me like I’m a child. “Can I help you…? ” Wow Brenda I just put a brand new box of shoes on your counter which so happens to be a cash register counter. Yes you can help me! The best part was her double checking the price of the shoes in a condescending manner making sure I was aware that I was about to spend $100. Thanks for looking out for my bank account! Kindness is hard to come by nowadays. That’s my verdict. Do better.
